I am a runner, but used to suffer from severe shin splints. And it all has to do with the arch in your shoes, or in your case your blades. I think they're great when you are on a highly restrictive diet. My friend is a body builder and she has to have cheat days, other wise she kind of goes looney. It keeps you sane, mixes up your metabolism, and keeps you on track! I think its very healthy!!

Oh man, I am dealing with this right now! I'm already at my calorie intake for the day and its only 4! Geesh. Anyways, i like apples and peanut butter. And I recently switched to FitNutz Peanut butter and it saves me 100s of calories. :)

I wear a heart rate monitor and tracked the jillian michaels 30 day shred. That is very high impact, about 25 minutes long, and I burn about 210-229 depending on how hard i work. Not sure on the ab video, but maybe this could help you cross reference. :)

I really like the suggestion of eating veggies and water before. I always heard water, but veggies are a great idea. Low calories, they can be filling, I love that!
