The most difficult thing for me is staying committed to logging my meals and sticking to a workout routine. My best friend and I are doing a "jog 30 miles in 30 days" challenge and today is day 4. I'm feeling good about completing it! I'm also logging all my meals for these 30 days!

Yesss! It's so good and adds flavor to every meal.

Avocados, cherries, cauliflower, and things that are too spicy.

The other half of my lamb gyro I had for lunch.

Im on spring break too! We're on a road trip. Things I'm doing: I upped my calorie intake to lose 0.5 lb/wk since I'm eating out WAY more. I also utilize the hotel gyms, walk a ton sightseeing, and pack a cooler with healthy snacks. I have two water bottles, string cheese, trail mix, luncheon meats, wheat bread, hummus,…

I did this last May and lost 11 lbs. Over the summer I ate what I wanted, but walked a ton as I was on vacation for a month. I gained like 2 lbs back but when I was back to real life (no calorie counting, not much exercise, working 50 hours a week) I gained it back plus more by the end of the year (the holidays didnt…

I just told my husband we need to get a pie! Ues, please!

As for seeing those red numbers, I try to make sure that I'm in the green for the week. I do the math and try to plan my exercises to even out my calorie intake. I also do strength training about half an hr 4 times a week and don't log that for a calorie loss. I just write it in my exercise notes. I don't feel obsessed and…

I added you. I have my calories set to lose 1.5 lbs a week.

My boss brought in homemade chocolate chip cookies and I resisted! Woohoo!

I have trouble with this too! May steal this goal after I reach my current one. Good luck to you!

My new years goal is to lose 20 lbs....10 by spring break (16 days away!). Im already down 7!
-
I would join! I've been working out 4 times a week strength training and cardio...wouldn't hurt me to add two more days a week of cardio.
-
I gained about 20 lbs in the past year or so...would love to be back where I was. Goal is to be down 10 lbs by March 21(spring break)....and another 10 by June 10 (my bff's wedding). Plus, I'll be turning 30 in a couple of days. I gotta get this under control!

Nice job! I'm sure your pup appreciates all those runs too! :)

66 days from now....I'd like to lose 1.5% body fat. I'm really trying to get stronger too...bench press, deadlift, and squat 100 lbs. by Christmas. Currently lifting 55 (bench press), 70 (deadlift), and 65 (squats). My arms are weak! :(

I'm not sure if this will help, but it's help me a ton. About a half an hour before I want to go to bed, I turn off my computer...any electronics, tv, video games and just spend that time getting ready for bed, brushing my teeth, flossing, reading, bedtime yoga (mostly long periods of stretching, nothing too…

I think the important part is eating whole foods...I'm actually eating a plant based diet. Every now and then I eat fish. But, normally I eat a lot of fruits, vegetables, beans, quinoa/brown rice, corn tortillas, oatmeal, and a bit of whole wheat pasta and whole wheat bread. I also use hummus, salsa, and kimchi to add…

I just bought chia seeds from Kroger. They have a whole aisle or two of healthy food. I also like EarthFare. They have yummy free samples on the weekends! :)

I jogged for the first time in over a year. I managed to finish a whole mile! Hoping to work up to 2 miles next week! :)

fat2fitradio.com They have a bunch of calculators on here. Good luck!

I kind of do both. I have a certain amount of carbs and protein I eat during each meal and snack. I usually have extra calories, so I'll eat something that doesn't have as many carbs to get to my recommended calorie intake. Also, I don't count the carbs in green veggies, so salads are a good way to "fill up" and feel like…

Cheers! You look phenomenal!

I'm a total foodie as well! After eating a lot healthier the last two months I've learned a lot. You can take your love for food and apply it to the healthy food too. I now eat quinoa, kale, edamame, sunflower seeds, and all kinds of beans (there are SO many ways to prepare these and they're really good for you!) on a…

You're funny! I need friends and motivation too. Feel free to add me.

Good advice about reading the success stories! I'm implementing a cheat day once a week to see if that helps me with binge eating. It can really be a problem.

You can try the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. It's free on youtube. The workouts are total body and take less than half an hour. They're quick and effective. Maybe waking up half an hour earlier is easier than a whole hour?
