Right, I don't eat back my exercise calories because they are only between 100-200 a day and I use that as extra deficit. I would think you would only eat back exercise calories if you are burning A LOT.

I'm 10 days alcohol free! I hope being able to stick with it the same way you have. It's made me feel a lot better and a whole lot healthier!! Way to go!!!!!!!!

QuikSylver--- that's how it was for me too! Alcohol would make me want to eat the bad stuff! I'm hoping it will help me LOTS! I feel a lot better... sleep better and have more energy and it's only been 10 days.

A healthy balance!!! I like recipes/foods that help me stay full longer but I don't deprive myself of things, I could just cut back on them in a smaller portion or reduce how often I eat that item because of the high calorie content... for me... when I know I can have a large amount of veggies vs a small amount of some…

I have started doing this the last 2 weeks and have lost almost 3 lbs whereas before I kept being stuck at the same thing for weeks because I was having such a tough time with weekends. I recommend not weighing the day after the weekend though :wink:

Nature Bakery Fig Bars are 110 calories for something quick. Otherwise I agree with the cottage cheese paired with fruit or veggies :)

Went to the store last night :smile: and got chicken breasts, fish, sweet potatoes, soups, oranges, and strawberries to pair with them. Thank you all for your suggestions. I will consider the hard boiled egg on the mornings I don't already have eggs.

Some of the salads already have meat in them so I was hoping for something non meat related. But thank you! I have considered adding MORE chicken to it but I eat a lot of chicken LOL

You are right it shows me 1645 to lose 1 lb a week so maybe I will just try to eat about 50-100 calories less than what it says on MFP along with exercising. Thank you for the awesome helpful post!

Thank you!!! Do you think the 1730 for me sounds accurate then and just stick with it? I had it set to lose 1.5 before and It had me at about 1500/week. The 1700 just seemed high but maybe not.

I am just starting to exercise daily. I eat 1500 daily now. I don't eat back my exercise calories which this week have been between 100-200 calories only because I'm just starting out adding it in.

This sounds a bit like the zigzag calories. I did do this to break a plateau awhile back and it did help. I'm at 1500 right now without exercise added and I am lucky if I have 100 left over each day to use towards the weekend. How do you feel full enough? What types of things are you eating?
