Just posting in case anyone here wants to join... I need to really get back into it and Facebook is just easier for me. I don't like having to do code and store pics elsewhere & use a link with more code to post it. https://www.facebook.com/groups/301879163165899/

Traveling healthy is tough! Do you have a chance to workout while traveling? You can do a Google Image search for "Hotel workouts" and print off a few to take along with you. They can be done practically anywhere. Also, there are small coolers you can plug into your car to take along healthy snacks and drinks. You won't…

My real name is Kathy (I also go by the name Katie), I am a housekeeper at the Senior Life Center. I really enjoy my job even though it's a lot of work and can be quite hectic some days. My husband, Steve, and I will be celebrating our 29th anniversary this year. We have two adult children. Our oldest works at Mile Bluff…

I just downloaded a 30 day squat app with beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. I thought I'd share it here in case anyone else would want to join the fun https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.squatschallenge

Thank you! And I'll cheering right back for you! ✌❤

I agree, it's very hard to pass up work goodies. I find it helps to first take a small portion, then cut that portion up into bite size pieces. Eat one piece and tuck the rest away if possible. Either in your lunch bag, locker, purse.... Some place that is not right with you. That way when you want a piece you have to walk…

Yes, the weekends are hard! For me, making sure I keep a fitness and food log helps. It also helps to figure out meals and workouts for the weekend ahead of time. Pick a day during the week when you have a few minutes of extra time and make that your weekend planner day. Write down what workouts you want to do and your…

My road block is more like an 80 car pile-up....lol! Living with the pain and exhaustion of fibromyalgia makes it hard to keep myself motivated. Then getting one injury after another on top of it.... ugh.... not fun. I'm hoping this weight loss challenge is the thing that will get my motivation strong enough to finally get…

I like doing the Superhero workouts from http://darebee.com, I printed out enough to fill a 3-ring binder so I don't have to look them up when I want to do a workout. I will either pick out 2 and alternate them doing 3 sets each or I pick out one and set my HIIT timer and do a few fast paced sets. Does anyone else do them?

Massaging doesn't reduce it, it just makes the fat easier to be removed through exercise. It kinda loosens it up inside and gets the blood flowing so it's easier for the body to fight & flush it when exercising.

You can also fill a ziploc bag with cheap dish soap and it becomes a cold gel (like a store bought ice pack) without freezing solid. It was on that Dr.'s talk show a couple weeks ago.

Jillian always saying "Don't phone it in" drives me nuts...lol.

Not a stupid question. You are not the only one wondering these things :-) Fo me, I do my measuring without any clothing on and I keep the places I measure consistent by using natural markings (or not natural like scars or tatts) on my body as a guide for where I measure. I do my waist at the belly button because that's…

Very well said, thank you for posting this. It drives me nuts when I see people who are trying to lose weight starve themselves. Then they complain later when they gain it all back that they're sick of yo-yo dieting. But sometimes there's just no getting through to people, they keep doing it no matter what they're told.

Great job!!

Start taking acidophilus every day. Cut out the sugars and yeast products for a while.

Lots of cardio and lots of patience. It will come off with time if you stick with a healthy diet and exercise. I had the same thing, but I'm happy to say it's disappearing. I use to actually feel it jiggling when I would work out, it drove me nuts! Now I have to do some serious jumping to be able to feel what's left. You…

This sounds yummy! I love curry. Thanks for sharing the recipe. I made myself some curried pineapple chicken last night, I cubed up a boneless, skinless chicken breast, put it in a square pan that was sprayed with pan spray, added a cup of pineapple tidbits with some of the juice, curry powder & black pepper. Baked it…

Have you checked your local library? I get alot of workout dvds from there. If ours doesn't have it, we can check other libraries in the system and have it sent to us.

I haven't tried the program/meal plan, but I do the workouts. I have them in my workout rotation. They are very intense, I love them. P90X+ Kenpo Cardio & Interval Plus are my favorites.

I like using the Drink Water app for my phone. You can set how many glasses of water you want to drink and how often you want it to remind you to drink. http://www.androlib.com/android.application.nl-asplink-free-drinkwater-qzEzC.aspx

I was told a few years ago that I had a fatty liver. I hope losing weight and getting myself healthier will get rid of it. I don't drink alcohol at all, haven't had a drink in many years. I was also told I had a calcified kidney, I have no idea what to do about that. I'll be reading too to see what others have to say. This…

I have one wrist that is very painful to do pushups with, and one that isn't quite so bad. Some of the things I have tried and have worked at different times are making a fist and doing the pushups on the knuckles so the wrists are straight, having some kind of cushion (like a folded up towel or small pillow) under the…

Search YouTube for Warrior Dash Training and you'll get videos for training ideas.

I log the minutes walked and the minutes jogging separately.

Only you know your body and what it can or can't do. For me, when I did level 3, I was still over 200 pounds. The rockstars were killer, but I stuck with it and by day ten I was doing them fully without problems. It was a very proud moment the first time I made it through them, even made me tear up a bit. You do what you…

For someone who is new to working out, I would think they would be great. I like to do one or two for a warm-up before my workout, but I do have some that I do all of them on the dvd and it's a good 50-60 minute workout. It all depends on your fitness level and how many of them you do.
