I like Tesco Full Fat cottage cheese. More creamy than most

I burn that number of calories in a 45 minute spin class. I wear a hrm.
-
I also belong to a gym with no free barbells! Just a smith machine and dumbells. Can anyone recommend good dumbell squat & deadlift exercises (maybe with links to youtube so I can see how to do them)
-
Also got mine on ebay for just under £7

Definitely lightly active. I basically have the same daily activity as you. I wear a fitbit and my calorie burn comes out a bit higher than lightly active!
-
Bump. Thanks for all the useful information
-
No. But we usually eat half and freeze half. The frozen half reheated is always better!

Hi! I've just bought the book so will follow the replies with interest.

Thank you for this. Will test next time on the treadmill.

Me too

Bump. Very interesting. Thank you.

I too have not changed weight in 2 months and have lost the same 2lbs over & over again. I hope I break through this plateau soon, its hard not to give up
-
My favourite is the lamb tagine...just had it tonight!
-
Yes. I agree. I wear a hrm and burnt 160 (I weigh 140lbs)
-
bump for reference. Very interesting!

Isn't it strange how we always seem to lose the bits we don't want to! I'd love to lose my butt but it doesn't shift. However my boobs are shrinking and I didn't have much in the 1st place!
-
This is me too. Seen no difference in about 4 weeks (except scale going up due to my period). Its easy to get discouraged.

There is a fitbit users group on mfp which I have found useful in answering these questions. See the thread http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/443853-welcome-to-the-fitbit-users-group-and-how-to-get-started

When I am doing intense cardio I often get up to 170, sometimes more. I am 50 and so (according to 'them') this is my max but I feel fine. The only concerning thing is the treadmill flashes up that my heartrate has reached a dangerous level and I worry that everyone else in the gym will see!

Thankyou

3 months ago I felt exactly the same as you. Then I started logging and realised just how many pointless calories I was consuming. I decided to give up wine completely for Lent; not for religious reasons but because it is a recognised time for giving things up. I succeeded in not having a drink at all. Now that Easter is…

My six year old is having climbing lessons and today his instructor got me to have a go. Loved it!
-
I'm also on day 10 level 1 and haven't lost any pounds either!

There are loads of useful links pinned to the top of this 'General Diet and Weight Loss' message board. Click on 'LINKS in MFP you want to read again (and again)' and read some of the links shown there. cmriverside has done loads of research and it seems to make sense.

I wear a hrm and usually burn about 160 calories. I'm still on L1 so don't know what it'll be for L2 & 3. I log it under cardio.
-
Really great post. Bump for reference
-
I've just done level 1 day 7. My body hasn't changed one bit yet although I'm giving it all I've got. Someone please tell me its worth continuing!
-
Me too! Wine is one of life's great pleasures. However I have learnt to appreciate it just one glass 1 or 2 times a week and always make sure I have calories remaining to allow it.

Depends what you want to measure. I wear a fitbit all the time except when I exercise because it doesn't measure activities like Spinning, cycling or Bodypump very well. For those activities I wear my HRM and log the exercise in MFP which then synchs to Fitbit. They work in different ways and measure different things.
