Fit bit or new heartrate monitor?

I have a polar heartrate monitor that is about 4 years old. It still works but I think not as well as it use to. Question is should I buy a new heartrate monitor or shoot for the fitbit? What would be a better buy?

Have you seen the new fitbit that's coming out in may? It's a bracelet that u wear all the time...evenin the shower I guess. I am holding off for that one. Check it out : )0

Depends what you want to measure. I wear a fitbit all the time except when I exercise because it doesn't measure activities like Spinning, cycling or Bodypump very well. For those activities I wear my HRM and log the exercise in MFP which then synchs to Fitbit. They work in different ways and measure different things.0
