find a hearty, high protein, high fiber bread. toast it and put laughing cow cheese on it. very satisfying!

i'm in the same place you are-- since there's not a lot to lose, you'll probably tone up a lot before you see the scale move. as your body adjusts to exercise and your body begins converting fat to muscle, you may even gain a little since muscle weighs more than fat. frustrating, i know! but the scale isn't the best way to…

I think you just gave an exact description of my husband:laugh: I love him, but like you, I'm frustrated!

have you tried leggings? under armor makes GREAT leggings that are extremely comfortable to walk/run/bike in.

I never hold onto the handrails and check my heart rate with the sensors periodically my heart rate averages 165-200 for the entire workout. And yes, 10% incline kicks my butt every single time! I sweat buckets!

Thanks! I actually just started working out 3 weeks ago. Bad, I know, but I didn't have a gym membership and I just now got a treadmill. I lift 5 pound weights and do lunges or wall sits for some strength training and then do cardio an average of 45-60 min. I do this every day of the week burning 450-600 cal per day. I'm…

This is so exciting to read about! I hit a plateau about 6 weeks ago and I've been extremely frustrated by that. I hope I see the same kind of progress that you have! Congratulations and way to work hard! It reminds me not to give up and to remember how far I've come already.

everyone thinks different things about it-- some people think there's a connection between aspertame and cancer but that's really the only thing i can find wrong with it. anything in moderation is fine!

My sex drive did NOT improve when I switched from Yaz to Nuvaring. It's not worse, but it's not better. I love the convenience, but the first few weeks were hell. I hardly slept, had headaches, was irritable, and had crazy mood swings. I feel fine now though. Just keep in mind that it probably won't have a huge, new affect…

I heard from a doctor that a mile is 100 calories pretty much however you do it (walking, jogging, running, whatever)

I don't think it's bad to be over on protein, but be careful because too much protein can cause digestive problems.
-
Be careful! Pickles are VERY high in sodium!

Just saw the vitamix on martha stewart this morning! it looked great!

Definitely a turkey burger!

So sorry :( losing pets is so hard. I'm glad you have others to get some comfort from.

Thank you so much! I've never even heard of TDEE. That was so helpful.
-
have you tried nuvaring? i had bad side effects for the first couple of weeks but i've loved it ever since.

I love chuy's too! Get their tortilla soup it's fantastic! And if you want to get dip don't worry about the calories just use it as your "cheat" meal of the week!

Sunflower seeds! :)

I bought a 20 oz. intake (by thermos) water bottle that I take with me EVERYWHERE. I make sure to drink it 4-5 times throughout the day and that averages about 8-10 cups of water every day. It has totally changed the way I drink water because now I can measure exactly how much I'm getting.
-
Drink plenty of water! I drink 72 oz. per day and it fills me up when I'm hungry in between meals!
-
I find that if I drink a 40 oz. of water before my 20 oz. diet coke I don't notice as much water retention. Hope that helps!
-
I used to have the same problem until I bought a 20 oz bottle. Now I make it my goal to drink out of it 3-4 times per day. It really helps to make it a goal just like everything else. I feel really proud of myself when I reach it every day and drinking that much water keeps bloating down, cuts cravings, and keeps me from…

Thanks everyone! :)

The sodium/carbonation/aspartame. Not sure how, but apparently they make you retain lots of water. Plus aspartame has been linked to cancer so that's scary!

once a week. weighing every day can be very discouraging.
