I started my cut yesterday. My PL meet was last Saturday. Weighed in at 176.4lb and my 7-day rolling average is 176.6. I was happy with my bulk and meet results. Been training around a groin/hip strain since Oct. Needed to see where my DL is for programming leading up to June 3rd meet. Worked up to a heavy single and PR at 405. 3 "gyms" here too. 2 memberships and home gym. Joined local Gold's ( of which there are 3, I go to 2 somewhat regularly) for rehab after shoulder surgery over 2 years ago and for only $20/month I keep going for accessory machines and cables. Out of town a lot for work so joined out of town gym (no Gold's in that town).…

If you are in a deficit you'll lose, might take 4+ weeks to see on the scale.

If deadlifting using hook grip, is it recommended to pull all reps with hook grip or only when weight exceeds double overhand grip strength?

My bulk will likely continue til June 3 PL meet. I need to be under 181lbs then. I've been hovering at ~170 lbs over the last month, time to up calories. I'll probably cut hard and fast to under 165 after June and maintain there in order to compete down a weight class Oct 28.
