  • Ok I'm stupid, you did gain a little, but I was going on miranda's assumption that you have water weight not REAL weight! Just mean we should be proud of taking steps to be healthier, even if it doesn't give us the numbers we want!

  • I am right there with you. It's hard to lose weight when you have PCOS because our bodies are very special about how they process the food we eat. Keep at it! At least you aren't gaining!

  • No one has mentioned this yet, but I always limit myself to just one plate. I try to fill 1/2 of it with veggies, but just get a little of everything I want. I have used the eat nothing before you go strategy, but be careful with that because sometimes it makes me so starved that by the time i hit the buffet i say "screw…
  • My doctor recommended I take a cinnamon/chromium supplement 4x a day. The only thing I notice is that is makes me constipated cause it soaks up all the fluid (and I drink at least 8 cups a day)! Having PCOS makes losing weight harder, no matter what supplements you are on.
  • Good luck to you. Also have been on metformin and tried a couple cycles of clomid. Next step is femara as soon as I can have a good stretch of time that I won't have to be out of town (I'm highly monitored). Low carb, low sugar diet. My doc told me to exercise 1 hour, 7 days a week (still working up to that one just from a…
  • Don't know if this makes you feel better, but its the same old story over here. I'm a little farther into the process but its been 2 months since my last cycle. I have heard its pretty common (30% chance) that someone with PCOS will ovulate right after they go off the pill. I'm pretty sure I didn't, though. I have also…
  • Thank you for sharing this! I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 17 and at the time they did not recommend I start trying to have children, but did say it might be difficult when I eventually did try. We have been TTC since November and I had seen enough friends go through what you did to no avail, so we went straight to a…
  • PCOS here too, started out with 116 pounds to lose and lost 110, but have been yo-yoing ever since. Currently would like to lose 50 lbs, but anything would be good because we are ttc our first child. I am on metformin 500mg twice a day, as well as cinnamon/chromium and inositol. Feel free to add me!
  • I'll add you! Friends are fun!
  • Teeheehee... depending on the experience, i suppose you could call it "aerobics" or "dancing" (horizontally). Haha, I'm on a conference call right now and someone just said "penetrating"... :blushing:
  • I'm the queen of yo-yoing... Starting weigh 276 in December 2005, lost 110 lbs by spring 2008, gained 55 back, lost 40, gained 30 back... and now on my way back down again. I figure that I'll eventually equalize, since the yo-yos are getting smaller each time. yikes!:embarassed:
  • Amen to this, I have a diet soda addiction! I'm insulin resistant and my doc said a little diet soda is ok - does anyone know if there has been definitive research that shows that your body responds to it the same way as it does sugar? it would make sense since it does that to my tastebuds!
