I'm a big fan of their classes. I NEED classes to make me work. It seems far less like work in a class too. I went for a couple of months (from no exercise at all) and didn't lose any weight at all. As soon as I started calorie counting with this app it started coming off, so I'd have to agree with the above poster about…

Thanks very much. Yes, all those hormones confusing your body isn't great. I'll hope for a bit more weight loss then but won't expect it. :-)
-
Thanks very much everyone.

I started small too. One gym class a week to start with, working up as I felt able to. Calorie counting only came in four weeks ago. So far I've lost 3.5kg. I've added you. :-)

I am a 34a. So far I've lost 3.5kg. Guess where it's coming from first? Yep, shrinking already small boobs. Never mind, I suppose lol.

I go by my heart rate monitor. The amount of calories is different for each person, and their fitness level. It would be far more accurate than something estimating.
-
Does your gym do any classes? I find them great as I don't tend to know what I'm doing either. :-)
-
I'm here to get to a better weight and fitter before trying for a baby too. I have one month of the pill left. Yay! If anyone in the same boat would like to add me feel free. :-)

I have learnt also if you scan barcode to double check the calories per 100g before weighing as some things have been entered grossly wrong. For example, a pack of dried pasta shells listed as a tomato pasta sauce. I assume someone filled in the wrong item (someone in the uk coz it said asda, and no asda in oz lol). There…

I have a wahoo blue. Not a watch one, but it bluetooths straight to your iPhone. You can choose from a huge range of apps to use with it. I use digifit as my workouts are all classes and that suited me best, but there are lots of running and cycling ones.

Ignore your mum and weigh stuff. My partner thinks it's stupid too, but without weighing you don't know. If I take a banana to work I weigh it in the morning (and take a little off for skin, but not much). The main downfall I've had is my partner adding oil to cooking. One tablespoon of olive oil is about 150 calories!…

The last step class I went to I fell off. Not just a trip, like a full sprawled on the floor fall. Lots of gasps from around me, although nobody asked me if I was alright which I thought was a bit bad.

Thanks very much everyone. Some days I really struggle to eat all my calories back if I have a big work out, so I might just use them as treat days.
-
Yes, I've noticed the classes are mostly women too.
-
I'm from the UK (in oz now) and was used to using cups, BUT as you say, it isn't accurate. I've compared and it is generally hugely out. I also just look for ones which have weights.

I can be perfectly happy about myself, then I try something on and feel like I look terrible. My skin I always notice looks blotchy under those lights. Looks fine every other time.
-
Cool, the time difference is it then. I didn't realise they did the combat in a shorter class. :-)
-
Thanks very much for that. Most days I'm working out at the gym, so for 5 out of 7 I'm eating more calories than that, that is just my net calories. Also, I'm not aiming for low fat, if I have spare calories I'm all for fat. I'm also taking pre pregnancy multi vitamins and making myself eat more calcium. I'm going to see…

Best advice I have heard. I'm on it. ;-)
-
Ha ha. Thanks very much everyone. :-)

Then he really could say I was taking it all too seriously, and he'd have a very good point. ;-)

I must admit, that shocks me too. It isn't like he's done something unforgivable, and I don't know anyone who is 100% perfect all the time. I also don't know anyone at all who is in a long term relationship where they are not allowed to disagree with someone for fear of being dumped. I'm just pleased he is finally getting…
-
Well it seems the penny has dropped. He just came home and handed me a pack of cookies and told me to try one. I scan the pack and he laughs. I tell him each one is 150 calories. 'So, each one of those cookies is worth one spoon of oil, which is why you were unhappy with me adding that much oil, as you'd rather have…

You support your partner 100% in everything even if you don't agree with it? You are a better person than me if so. I certainly didn't support my partner in his choice of car which he worships....
-
Thanks very much everyone. It is upsetting that he is not supportive, but I'm not at dumping him level just yet. ;-) I expect ups and downs in a relationship, it is could be far worse than this. He just really doesn't seem to get how calories work, although I'm trying to educate him. I think part of it is that he thinks…

I seem to be the same on a lesser scale. I only started out 2-3 months ago. One of my ankles hurt for a bit. That got better and then I pulled a muscle in my arm at a Pilates class!! Then my ankle hurts again, then I get a massive blister on my palm meaning I can hardly do anything like push ups or yoga. Now my ankle is…

I've been offered a free go of this at my gym and haven't been able to bring myself to do it. It looks like rubbish, but as they are offering a free go I might try it one day.
-
Is this just since you have been calorie counting or is this normal for you? If you're not hungry at night, maybe just eat earlier?
-
If you have a heart rate monitor digifit is great!

I've never made oats that wasn't from a packet of instant microwave ones. I had been planning on trying to make some today as I had time, but it turned out my boyfriend had fed the rolled oats I'd got to my chickens. :-/ Anyway, what are the best oats to get? Can I microwave them?
