Fully agree with music, weights, other types of exercise etc. Also, just go out. Walk a dog (neighbor's if you do not have one), bike to get groceries, park far at work or mall or whatever, never take the elevator etc. etc. Where do you live, any outdoorsy pretty areas, can you walk a trail? Around a pond? To a friends…

Let's start a new alphabetical list: Air, but ideally served w/ exercise Fingernails (must be own) Ice Water, but ideally served w/ exercise

Did you breakdown because of overwhelming emotions or because of not being able to do things? I've done the former in yoga class. Actually cried uncontrollably. Very surprising. I just took it as a good mental connection during practise. If it is the latter, I found that you need to do yoga at least 2 times, ideally more a…

I do not recognize Dean's so can't compare, but I actually like Breakstones. It is a bit more tangy, but also nice and salty and nowhere as bitter as some are. Liked Cabot (lived in the North East).
-
What brands do you have available? I've lived in a few places and it is always a bit of a trial and error to find the best in each country/region. Right now, out of what I can get at the store, Knudsen is my favorite.

I want to hear too! I try to find time earlier to prevent the problem, but then it just becaomes an excuse not to workout...how can one sleep soon after a workout??

I have lived in both cold and hot climates. Running in the winter, I do not even break a sweat ( until after inside) and running in hot climate any time, I sweat before I even get out the door, am drenched after the run, and leave a water trail behind me. Do I use more calories in that winter scenario, since I really need…

This - some have big curdles some small, some are more milky some more dry, some are bitter/tangy, others not. I like most, but not the tangy ones. If I had that only, I would think cottage cheese is just disgusting

Wow, wow, and wow! I have easier time doing running and cardio. i love the high you get. But looking at your body - I need to start figuring out how to get high on weights! Just wow!

Sneaky chef. Hide the veggies, or if you are in favor of also teaching the habit of eating veggies (knowingly), hide some to increase variety, and let the kid pick a small set that he's willing to eat. My picky on has agreed to eat soft carrots, few leaves of lettuce, peas and beans, and just now as he is has a birthday…

Totally! Just wear anything that counts your steps or something

Agreed when cooked to be that swampy green. Leave them bright green, add some spices like recommended here, and yum!
-
This! They need to be bright green to be yummy. One easy way to test is to microwave just 30 sec at a time and try it out to learn what tastes good and how fast it goes nasty.

This is my plan. I go back to tracking every time I am about 5 pounds over my goal weight for a few days stretch. Reason I do this is probably silly, but there's the belief that people gain 1lb a year on a " normal " diet. In 20 years that is 20 lbs overweight! Plus all the treats ones eats ( I love to bake!) so better…

I also recommend reducing the sugar in your coffee, just a bit at a time. And could you have regular pudding instead? Low fats often have more sugar. Do check your kind of pudding to be sure. Also could you not have the pudding? Or make some your self with better ratio of incredients? Also going over some, who cares?

Thanks for sharing! I've been looking at the same info and am on my way to your achievements! Wonderful to see a glimpse in the future in your success! Congrats! To the gym to do some lifting.....

I do not want to get to an argument what is a fruit, vegetable, or a grain technically speaking. Rather trying to help open the idea that some veggies are actually good tasting (tomato sauce, corn, guacamole, etc) for most people. So to start eating more veggies does not have to be impossible. First increase your intake of…

I think there already is a thread like this, but, I 'd say : log your calories. That is just so eye opening. Lots of thing are just not worth the calories at all.
-
Agreed. Anyone saying otherwise has not had a Honeycrisp!
-
All of you not liking veggies, does this really mean ALL? Fresh corn on the cob? Tomato sauce ( as in pasta or pizza sauce), salsa and quacamole? Pickles? I just find that hard to believe. Onion rings are not healthy, but that is a vegetable too. Really, ALL veggies??
-
Assuming you are looking for a wAy to tolerate or even like veggies, not just a magic answer try a few things: Do not like leafy taste?Try tomato or butter nut squash, for example Do not like leafy texture? Try a pureed soup, mix cauliflower, carrot, butter nut squash or spinach with you mashed potatoes ( start small,…

On hiding and not hiding veggies. I do both, it does not have to be so black and white. For example the alphabet soup I make has tomato sauce, carrots, onions and some small green bits (spinach, parley, basil). This part the kids (and hubby) see and know. In addition there is either a huge eggplant or few zucchinis and…

My biggest issue is all others from the school bus lady to the other moms "loving" the kids with chocolate, lollypops, cupcakes, cookies etc. EVERYDAY. Not to mention all the darn birthday treats at school and elsewhere at least once a week, and the fact that most of their class mates get cookies and candy (welch's "fruit"…

Some googling of your location might help find dome fitness/lighter menus. Also, any place that actually has a real chef and real kitchen can make something off the menu. We do this because of allergies, but you could do that too. You see a salmon on a creamy risotto - ask for just the salmon and a salad, baked potato, or…

I had twins too! And have a total of 3 kiddos. My belly now looks ok even a tight outfit on, ok maybe a bit of a bulge, but the skin...I cannot stand what I look like doing a plank or pushups, for example, my belly skin just hangs out like some lifeless wrinkly piece of meat. Is that fixable without a knife??

Most thing people list are just food, not diet food. Fruits and veggies, cottage cheese, etc. they are just food, yummy food. Maybe it is 'diet' since one did not eat that before starting to lose weight?
-
Yes all 'chefs' and the folk in Nice, France are totally crazy.

Eat an egg for breakfast. That's 60 cal and keeps you not hungry until lunch. Of course eat that with anything under 240 cals. Whole wheat toast or oatmeal could work, or some fruit with cottage cheese. Lunch. soups and salads ( if mostly veggies, not thise some lettuce with tons of non vegetables on top you get eating…
