I was 217 after having my son. Now I'm 198...still a way to go but getting under 200 feels so good!! Add me...you can do this, one day at a time

Thank you for the reassurance! Yes I think running 5k needs to be my first goal...I am getting the idea that speed will come with time. I'm at 2.3 miles right now, 0.9 miles to go!!

I am overwhelmed by the messages of support from you all! Such a great boost for me when I was starting to feel a little bit frustrated. I have 7 weeks until my 5k run and have 1 mile to add to my training. Having listened to all your fantastic advice I will now focus on stamina and distance rather than speed. Will also…

That's amazing!!! Are you enjoying c210k? I guess that's my next challenge...

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Just went out on another 25 minute run. I definitely felt less like I was going to die when if finished, so something must be working. Still a 12 minute average, but I feel better about that after all your support. Thank you so much

You made me smile, dewd2! I love that thought, and it's made me feel better about starting slowly and staying true to my (snaily) pace. Thank you

Thank you! I will look at the monthly running challenge. I could do that in June :-)

Wow thank you. I love mfp for the help it can give you with things like this! I was so down on myself a few hours ago...you guys have given me new focus. I'm aiming for a 5K by July 10th (have signed up for a cancer research sponsored run). I won't panic, I have 6 weeks to improve. Thank you, all x

Thank you both. I am doing just over 2 miles every other day, when I finish couch to 5k I'll focus on increasing distance. I had started feeling down on myself...thank you for helping

I have 60lbs to lose too! Add me As a friend and we can help each other!! It feels like a massive mountain to climb and I need support

I like that idea, thank you. I will look some up online. I have a 3 and 4 year old so it needs to fit in with them. I live right next to a big park-it's just over half a mile round and I've been fast walking round that will little one in the sling and big boys on their bikes. Twice round and it's over a mile brisk walking.…

That's amazing! You look toned too, your arms and legs have a great shape, no evidence of loose skin (my tummy is aaaawful!). You look great in the cutout swimsuit, too. Well done xx

Definitely a difference, especially in your face. Well done!

Hi, I am 13 weeks post partum, and only started exercising a week ago. I totally get the low feelings you have. I am 5'9, was 148 when I fell pregnant and 217 a week after the birth! Healthy eating has helped me lose 20 lbs in 8 weeks and I hope it will happen even faster now I'm exercising. Breastfeeding is great, I love…
