Why would you think that? A diabetic diet is pretty much identical to South Beach. Diabetic diets are carb restricted,

Genes play a big part of it. Macros for one person may be ok but the same diet would cause high cholesterol in another. The same for sugar intake. I guess it all depends on the goal of your program, whether it is losing pounds or reducing your risk of illness and chronic disease. I have encountered many skinny unhealthy…

My friend at work just did 30 days. He looks fabulous and went back onto a plant based diet. He went from a 46 pants to a 34 and he was glowing. I think he lost 46 pounds. He has done many diets in the past and is a triathelete but he said he has never felt better than when he juiced.

I think we have to acknowledge the benefit of this surgery in certain people. Co morbidity risks may make the surgery preferable. Sometimes, time has run out. I have a brother in law who died from complications of obesity at 48 years old leaving a 12 year old behind. Surgery could have saved his life. Diet and exercise…

The mean green juice from joe the juicer is good. I always had apples/ oranges and carrots for breakfast and then greens and a little citrus the rst of the day. I found the less ingredients the better. Celery and cucumber create a lot of juice. Kale and spinach are good. I HATED beets juiced-Made it taste like dirt IMHO

If your co morbidities are high ie the complications of obesity-Joint pain, diabetes, hypertension, then weight loss surgery is often the best route. Obviously it requires a lifestyle change. Lap band surgery has a high weight return rate becuse people re stretch, Full gastric bypass is radical and gives you life long…

I actually had a Doctor recommend that I add butter to my coffee in the morning. He said it will help with any cravings and help me not have the feeling I am losing the will to live. The only problem, I lost the will to live at the thought of it.

Its no surprise that so many of us Nurses have weight problems etc. Too much caring for others. I am a Director of Nursing and have always been overweight but have gained 10 pounds per year since taking this position!
