  • Sure it's possible! It's always good to have a goal. With that said, lose weight the right way. Load yourself with information and don't let your goal make you do something extreme. If you fall short and lose 25 pounds in 29 weeks doing a sustainable program, then you are succeeding. Be in for the long term.
  • I was like the original poster; eat the same food, but less of it. I did well for breakfast and lunch, but dinner was sometimes burger, pizza, french fries. I lost around 35 pounds. I could lose another 10, but not too worried about it. You have to look at this as a marathon and not a 40 yard sprint. If you change so…
  • My wife & sister-in-law use a Fizik Vesta women's specific saddle. Second what the guy said about shorts and rider position.
  • I agree with you. I've tried different diets in the past and they are not sustainable to me. If I couldn't eat pizza, burgers, fries and cookies, there would be no way I could stay on the diet. I just eat what I did before, just less of it. I've always eaten a fairly balanced diet, just too much quantity. I reached my goal…
  • Thanks for sharing your story. Looks like you've been there done that: taken back your life. I just love to see people getting a new lease on life and doing things they never thought possible.
  • Good Job. I'm 52 and have been lifting for years. My body type just doesn't allow me to gain much muscle. I've done all the protein drinks and pre-workouts and all that stuff and they help some, but I just can't add a lot mass. I've seen others in my situation. With that said, your body type may be able to gain muscle, but…
  • I also lost weight, and felt great. I rarely got hungry and liked the day off. But as time went on, the planning for the meals was something I couldnt maintain. We are on the go all the time and planning for meals got to be a drag. I'm not sure mfp will work for me, but it helps me not over eat. I'm a former athlete and I…

  • I did it a couple of times. I lost weight on the diet, but I got tired of eating all the time. I didn't like eating the same old snacks. As for the workout program, it was ok. I actually got weaker while on the program. I could have been associated with my weight loss. If you are looking for a full body workout that takes…

  • I'm an old guy, so I may not know what a 19 year old girl is going through. But hey, quit beating yourself up. Looks like you are making some positive steps in your life. You just need to refine what you are doing a little bit. At 5'1" you are very close to your ideal weight. Some small changes and you will be right on…
