I'm aware of this. Unfortunately the formula goes a little bit deeper for me because I have insulin resistance. The pattern I've noticed with my own body is perhaps not the same as someone without IR. Sounds like I'll have to do some calorie experimenting! Thanks for your input. :)

I maintained my current weight, however I was finding it difficult to balance a proper eating schedule due to work at that time. Whenever I did eat, it was typically high carb foods because I felt undernourished. I changed to lightly active a couple of weeks ago and have been better planning my meals but am still finding…

I'm sorry but LOL

As far as I know, the powdered stuff is dairy free. :) Have you tried coconut milk? It also comes in a sweeter vanilla flavor that may go well in tea. I've also used regular non-dairy coffee creamer in tea with great success... :)

Very informative post. :) I like to keep my eating as "paleo" as possible, so I will still be avoiding the consumption of foods that may contain aspartame. However, I enjoy being informed and reading this gives me some reassurance about the subject, so thank you. :)

A week isn't ample enough time to really see results. The best thing for me is seeing exactly what I'm eating. That alone helps me alot. :) Give it some time and you will see improvements.

Anyone? :(

I eat ~1,200 every day throughout the week because I have a very sedentary job. On the weekends I usually up that to atleast 1,600. Needless to say it's worked for me and gotten me outta the 5 month plateau I hit back in November. :)

Myotein! Pricey, but worth it.

Anyone?

The only carb I eat daily is jasmine rice. I don't eat a lot, but it's always a side for dinner since my boyfriend is Asian. Rice is neither bad nor good, it's kind of a neutral food. :/ Cut out processed carbs and you should be good to go.

You do not need medication to lose weight with PCOS. I was diagnosed in 2009 and prescribed Metformin for insulin resistance. I refused to take it. Instead, I take 1,000mg of Cinnamon and it has done wonders. It has a similar/BETTER results than Metformin and does not have any side effects at all. Remove processed carbs…

I've only been doing the circuit training for two weeks or so and I think it's pretty intense. What do you recommend? :)
-
I have heard that too. :) Thanks for your advice. I've actually been exercising more than I was before hitting the plateau.

Number 5 is my fave. LOL.

You can take cinnamon + chromium together in a capsule form to save you the trouble! :) I've been taking 1,000mg daily for a year and a half now and I noticed a difference within a week of taking it. I was diagnosed in 2009 and was prescribed Metformin and BC, but I refuse to take any conventional medication. Everything…

It's not about intensity. I say an hour of walking is better than 20 minutes of jogging. :/ I do enjoy jogging occasionally, but for the most part I prefer walking just because it's more pleasant.

I have PCOS and refused to take BC or Metformin. Instead, I started takin 1,000mg of Cinnamon daily, cut out processed carbs, started exercising. I lost 40 pounds and when I went for my first follow up appointment, my doctor said all of my hormones were completely normal now. :) Just keep at it. I really suggest a low GI…

Didn't read the whole thing, but it's true that if you eat protein and fiber before consuming sweets, the affect it has on your blood sugar is alot less. I always try to pair any sugar I eat with some kind of protein or fiber. :)

Myotein. ;)

They're plastic blades, and this thing would never provide enough power to chop a zombie's head off. :P I think I could make the metal safety screen and base work better for me.

I used to have a caffeine intolerance and could only drink coffee once in a while, but since I've had my Keurig, I've been trying to build up my tolerance to caffeine. I used to only have a cup every other day or so, but now I drink one every morning. It helps me wake up, kills some mid morning snack cravings, "regulates"…

I love napping, though sometimes I choose napping over afternoon Zumba. :P
