  • Have a small snack in between. I find myself to get that way too so I space my days worth of calories over 6 meals eaten every 2-3 hours. There's no weight loss science to it, but it does help me not get headahces or dizzy.
  • I am weighing my food with scales meticulously. As you will see this isn't the first time I've lost weight, but it is the first time I've started with adding physical activity from the start. Edit to add - Maybe not my veggies, but that's pretty much it.
  • I also have 100 pounds to lose. I lost 40 a couple of years ago, but thanks to some thyroid issues I have since gained it back. I need support as well, people to hold me accountable. Sending friend request now.
  • http://www.skinnytaste.com/2009/01/crock-pot-3-bean-turkey-chili-3125-pts.html This one is my new favorite. Love the variety of beans, but you could use one kind if you don't like them.
  • Just curious but what is a Bod Pod? I hear you on the water. I get approx. 50 ounces per day of just water, then unsweet tea with my meals and in between. I do struggle with it though because I have just never been one to drink much. I use to sip off the same diet coke can all day long. I am using the weight machines at…
  • Make sure you have really good shoes. I had been wearing New Balance for years, and my dr said those were the worst for my feet. I now swear by Asics Gel Nimbus. They are top of the line and around $129 per pair, but you can find them on sale sometimes. They are all I wear and I replace every 3-6 months. Also, I have a…
  • I had bad breakfast and lunch, so it's Tuna salad with no bread, crackers, anything that has carbs basically. Maybe on a bed of spinach with tomatoes.
  • I have a tip for the light mayo. I no longer let them put my mayo on the sandwich, just too much room for error on the fat/calories. They have the light mayo in packets, as well as the mustard, olive oil, and vinegar. Just ask for a packet. It has the nutritional data on the packet as well. In reality I figured out I can…
  • Day 4, Level 1 Complete. It's getting a litte easier, but still brutal.
  • Day 3, Level 1 done. I almost didn't do it, simply because I"ve been so sore today but I'm so glad I did. It seemed a little eaiser. Was able to do more of the cardio anyway. Legs weren't so weak afterwards. And thanks for the advice on the extra stetching. I did the additional quad stretches after it was over and I'm…
  • Hopefully not too late to join you guys. I spontaneously decided Saturday afternoon I was going to take 20 minutes and start this. I've had the DVD for a couple of weeks, but I've been afraid to put it in. I got my 1 pound weights out and did it. Day 1 was ok felt like I kept up except the jumping jacks (they kill me).…
  • Replace the chips with carrots or cucmber sticks. I saw on Food Network Star the other night a girl made a slaw with avocado and something else instead of mayo. Check that out on their website maybe.
  • So do I want it to process faster or slower with protein?
  • bump, sounds delish
  • We do the GNC chocolate flavored with ice, skim milk, a banana, and 2 tbls peanut butter. It's pretty good but I hate having the extra calories and fat from the peanut butter, so I'm interested to see what others have to say as well.
  • I just ordered mine from Netflix. It's suppose to be in tomorrow. So, count me in. I'm kind of scared of Jillian but I'm hoping it's something I can do at home successfully.
  • I would love to join as well. I am a working mom of 4 kids. My oldest is starting college in the fall and the youngest just turned 2. I too have shut off the baby factory and it's time to shed this weight that dates back to my first pregnancy 18 years ago. I started at 267 over 2 years ago, lost 40 pounds and then got…
  • After thinking about it, it seems like the days when I don't have a plan are when this happens most. Like it's my ticket to do whatever. This morning I was running late, didn't make my breakfast or lunch and just winged it. I convinced myself other than Subway (which I'm growing tired of) there were no other options, so I…
  • I too had/have PCOS my symptoms have gotten much, much better as I have lost the weight. I am trying low carb/high protein right now to see if it kick starts my progress. I have also considered going back on the metformin to see if it helps.
  • I am between 5'6 and 5'7 and I have lost 52 pounds to date. My starting weight was 267 and I am currently 214. I don't have any pics here at work with me, but I may be able to load some later. It's a slow process and it takes patience, I know not really what you want to hear. I started last July, but I had to take a break…
  • I am a Mom of 4 who just really commited to my workout program last week. I'm going at 4:00 a.m. before everyone gets up. My kids are 17, 13, 5, and 22 months. I get in by 5:15 just as my little guy is getting up. It makes for a long day, but what I point out to people is when else would I go. The evenings are way too…
