I don't really like my protein shakes, so I've tried mixing them with different things. Some of them have been good, and some, well, not so good.
So, help me out, and tell me what you mix your protein powder with!
Here are my favorite two things:
Chocolate protein powder and Coffee
Chocolate protein powder and oatmeal.
Vanilla protein powder and peach tea is just OK, but not great.

I don't do sodas any more, but if you do, I think vanilla in diet orange soda is amazing -- tastes like a creamsicle!0

I haven't tried it yet, but I have heard of people mixing PB2 in with their chocolate protein shakes. Tastes better, and adds a bit of protein to boot. Since I'm a HUGE fan of peanut butter, it's on my list to try.

I have never really been into using protein powder but can anyone tell me the benefits of putting it into your body. Do you do it before a workout/ after a workout? Can you all give me some info on protein powder.0

in a blender with milk (skim) and a piece of fruit like banana, strawberries, mango. Mixed into oatmeal with 1 tsp nutella spread!!! YUM!!!0

I mix my protein powder with ice, strawberries, blue berries, a banana, 8 cubes of ice, 1/2 of oats, 2 cups of water, and a teaspoon of coffee(sometimes) 1/2 of egg whites and I blend it....tastes amazing.0

I mix my plain, unflavored protein powder (Naturade Soy-Free Protein Booster) with unsweetened vanilla soy milk, a banana and either PB2 or Chocolate PB2.
Who wouldn't love a peanut butter banana shake? :laugh:0 -
I mix my whey protein (natural flavor) with 1/2 cup skim milk, 1/2 cup lowfat Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup blueberries, and 1 frozen banana. Yum. It's 40g of protein for only about 350 calories.0

Citrus Cyrstal Light, Oatmeal, Cereal, Greek Yogurt, Cottage Cheese, Egg Whites.
Try it on anything, you never know what you will like!0 -

I just started... but i usually do fresh / frozen fruit, choc/van powder, a little milk and then low fat vanilla yogurt in a blender. YUMMM!!!0

I like to mix mine with greek yogurt, peanut butter, a little muesli and a banana. It's my favorite breakfast and I usually have it every morning.0

We do the GNC chocolate flavored with ice, skim milk, a banana, and 2 tbls peanut butter. It's pretty good but I hate having the extra calories and fat from the peanut butter, so I'm interested to see what others have to say as well.0

Ok, that sounds awesome I don't drink much soda these days, but that definitely sounds worth a try!0 -
I use a very grassy vegan protein powder and I find this completely masks it in shakes:
1 scoop protein powder
1/2 cup vanilla soy milk
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese
A medium banana
1 tbsp. peanut butter
2 squares Hershey's Dark Chocolate (from the 1.45 oz. bar)
1/4 tsp. stevia (optional)
Dash salt
I blend it all up and freeze it for 30 minutes then re-blend and drink. When I have time, I just slice up a banana, lay it out on a dish, freeze it before hand and I can skip the re-freezing step altogether.0 -

I agree... I am not a fan of protein shakes, but I LOVE these!
Oatmeal and peanut butter (this is usually what I have for breakfast, yum)
Greek yogurt and cereal
Milk and cereal
And I like to sprinkle protein powder on my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches... it adds an interesting texture and tasty chocolatey flavor! haha0 -
Frozen dark cherries, teaspoon instant coffee powder, 2 teaspoons cocoa, chocolate protein powder (yea, I LOVE me some chocolate), and soy milk to cover. Whiz up in my bullet blender. This is breakfast EVERY morning. YUM.0

Protein keeps you fuller (satiated) for longer
It is recommended that you have protein at every meal - less impact on blood sugar levels
Also, it aids muscle repair & recovery after weight lifting
