Thanks!

Sorry, but what is woo? I'm getting the general idea it is unwanted weight loss advice?

I keep tons of little treats in the house. Right now I have Girl Scout cookies, chocolate covered almonds, and fun size snickers bars just for me, plus all my husband's treats that I'm not really that into. I will eat at least one treat every day. I just fit it into my calories and I never get cravings because I eat them…

Mine is open, anyone is welcome to add me.

I'm in California and have quite a bit to lose. Also in it for the long haul. Anyone is welcome to add me.

You should only step on the scale once a week and even then there will be discrepancies. Weight loss is not linear. Log your weight on here and look for a downward trend.

Yes there may be a variable but I weigh both pasta and rice cooked because meals are made for 4 in my house. I'm not cooking separately for myself, especially if it is something we're all going to be eating.

I love it. I always fall back on it when I get bored of other workouts. It's tough but rewarding and there are modifications for nearly everything.

I'm CICO at it's most basic level. Basically if it can fit into my calories and I want it then I'm going to eat it (I do pay some attention to macros but calories are my main concern). I am not low carb but I basically went low carb for awhile a few weeks ago without actually trying, I was just eating a lot of low carb…

Protein is actually one of my macros I hit consistently without even trying just because of the foods I love. I eat a lot of cheese, cottage cheese, grilled chicken, and tuna. However, for weight loss itself all that matters is calories in/calories out. Best advice I can give is to find what works for you. It'll take some…

The point of this app is to help people lose weight at a healthy sustainable rate. With so little weight to lose, it is going to take a long time. And to answer your original question, you should be eating at least 1260 calories each day, the weight loss deficit is already built in.

This is actually very true. When I was 22 or so I also made a point about not being a heavy drinker like my friends. I wasn't worried about my calorie intake so I would just order one drink I liked and that was it for the night (one and done). Not only did my friends really respect my decisions but I became known as the…

Thanks for clarifying!

I have nexplanon as well and I also got in January. I initially continued to lose weight, although I did gain back about 4 pounds in the last month. I think my gain was more due to overeating and not exercising enough though. As I've started to get back on my grind, the weight is quickly dropping back off so it was…

I like Special K Red Berry because it tastes good. It is pretty nutritionally sound but I also switch it out with whatever fruity cereal I'm craving at the moment. I do watch my macros (I'm not overly worried but I like to at least hit protein and get my vitamins in) but CICO is my main focus.

As long as you stay under goal, it doesn't matter what time you eat. The answers will vary for everyone, what's important is what works for you. Personally I get a little hungry before bed so I leave calories for a cookie or something shortly before bedtime. That's what works for me. You should experiment and see what…

I am totally starting this today! I am setting out late but hopefully can catch up and stay around the same places you are. Setting out from Bag End right now.

They're referring to the person they divorced lol.

I don't really do cheat days per say but if I'm at a special thing, ie a rare dinner with old friends I will happily go over my calories and not stress. I've done it a couple times and gone about 500 calories over my mfp recommended calories - still 500 calories under maintenance since I eat at 1000 defecit. I don't think…

I'm 5'7" 211 and 25 - to get 2 pounds a week loss I eat 1450 calories a day. I don't really exercise very much but so far I've gone from 232-211. Try to be as accurate as you can with logging and understand that you won't always see consistent losses. I lose an average of 2 pounds a week, which means 1 pound some weeks,…

I love wine but I'm very good about just having one measured glass and logging the calories, though I haven't had any wine since I got home from vacation last month.

I do the tuna and avocado but I usually add 1/2 cup cottage cheese as well. One of my faves. String cheese, carrots, and apples are my default snacks. Mason jar salads - check pinterest or google for this. I work two jobs and go to school so I definitely understand the need for convenience. It is difficult sometimes but…

I'm with those who say 1400 is low. I'm a 211 pound woman and I eat 1450 to lose 2 pounds a week. I also don't exercise much outside of regular activity. I've lost 20 pounds so far and I don't even weigh my food (yet).
-
I'm all about moderation. If I tried to restrict myself too much I would fail. I've lost over 20 pounds so far, just staying under my calorie goals. I've even worked in girl scout cookies nearly every day for the last month as a treat.
-
Seems too low for me but I'm not you. If your doctor is cool with it then just go with it. Mfp has to put that disclaimer for legal reasons.

Reading this is actually really helpful for me. My two default meals used to be either Taco Bell quesadilla, two burritos, and a large regular Pepsi or McDonald's 2 chicken sandwiches, a mcdouble, a large coke and more often than not a caramel sundae. Thinking about how much I used to eat makes me sick to my stomach as I…

I think you're stressing out over nothing. Personally I never step immediately back on the scale. If it immediately gives you a different number than there is probably something wrong with the scale. You obviously didn't gain back that two pound within a few moments. Relax and try to stay away from the scale. You're doing…

Weight loss isn't linear. You're not going to lose exactly two pounds every week. You should be looking at averages. And if you've lose 12 pounds in 4-5 weeks that's well over a 2 lb/week average. Basically you're not doing anything wrong.

Haven't had the eggs in a long time but my hubby got me the 1/2 pound cups for Christmas stocking stuffers and I love the chocolate to peanut butter ratio for those ones. Now I'm going to have to work in the calories for it... probably over a weekend since that's when I work my more active job.
