Hi guys just wondering my goal on this is about 1200 and something calories. Do I have too reach that limit everyday? My plan is too loose weight! What I'm saying is should I keep up to them calories or is it ok say if I have 600 calories remaining by the end of the day, will I loose weight? Not too sure if I explained myself right but would love some advice on how too use it. Yesterday I reached my goal and tonight I have 648 calories remaining? Should that matter? Or will I not loose weight if I keep up too my goal? So sorry with the way I'm putting this into words just very hard to understand ! Please Id be greatfull for a reply. Thanks very much guys xo

So you want to eat 600-700 calories. That too few. The aim is to get close to 1200. Or what ever your goal is.0

Yes, you should reach that limit every day. Chances are you probably should be eating even more and still losing weight. 700 is far too low of a goal for anyone and is in disordered eating area.
Do you exercise too? Because MFP's goal of 1200 does not include exercise so if you do, you should log it and eat at least part of those calories back.
How much do you have to lose? What did you choose as a weight loss goal?
ETA - your ticker says 20lbs. Did you choose 2lbs a week for a weight loss goal? If so, that is too high. You should aim for .5lb - 1lb a week.0 -
1200 is the minimum you should eat. You want to lose weight, not starve.0
-
Yes, it matteres that you have over 600 calories left. Netting 1200 is your goal. You want to reach that number, not eat so far below it.0
-
If you change you goal to maintain mfp will most likely change that 1200 to something higher. That will show you that 1200 is the goal to lose weight.
Lower than 1200 people say I'd dangerous in the long term.

My plan is just too loose one stone!! X0

The suggestion I see all over the place is eat to your goal of 1260 and also eat half of your exercise energy burned.0

This is my goal guys. Can you explain please? So sorry. But thanks a million for your replies x
You're not eating enough to sustain essential life processes. You're almost certainly eating at too great a deficit. The MFP goal already has a deficit built in. You don't need to eat below that. Heck, you can even go over a bit on occasion and still be just fine.
If I ate less than 1000 calories and walked for an hour, I would be in bed very tired, too.

Thanks so much your a great help. My aim is just too loose one stone. At the moment I am 10 stone want to be 9 then tone myself up!! Trying to motivate myself a lot seen as very unhappy with my weight. People might say 10 stone is nothing. But it is when u look in the mirror and are not happy with what you see.0 -

I know I'm just so keen on loosing this weight by the end of next month. I'm afraid too eat Incase I won't loose the weight! I know I know I'm silly. But I hate eating big things then regretting after? But I got to do it! Thanks for your reply.0 -
you cannot expect to lose 14 pounds in a month. throw that goal completely out the window. you are on a one way trip to an eating disorder if you do not change your goals and expectations right now.0

My god really? Totally don't understand this app!!0 -
If all you have to lose is 14lbs, a SAFE, HEALTHY rate to lose at is 1/2 to 1 lb a week. Any more is too aggressive a goal and not possible without severe restriction.0

I don't eat back my exercise calories, but I'd definitely try to hit that 1260 goal. Try to come within 50 calories of it everyday.0

The point of this app is to help people lose weight at a healthy sustainable rate. With so little weight to lose, it is going to take a long time.
And to answer your original question, you should be eating at least 1260 calories each day, the weight loss deficit is already built in.0 -

I don't understand why you thought it would be safe or healthy to lose 14 pounds in a month. Eat a healthy amount of calories (1200 MINIMUM), and track for a month. If you're not losing .5 pounds per week, then re-evaluate your logging.0 -

No idea how much a stone is, that's how my mum speaks.
But if your close to goal weight it's normally suggested to set you goal lower like half a kilo etc
Took me like 1 hour to write this, started, got interrupted by a meeting
