Thank you for your perspective! I can understand how a "cheat" here and there can make anyone fall n of the wagon when it comes to eating cleaner or sticking to LC. I do worry about cravings after allowing myself to have a treat too. I guess where I differ is that I don't actually view all HC as harmful, or most foods in…

Thanks for all the insight into your routines. I'm thinking I'll indulge in something I really want once or twice a month if the desire arises. I really want to keep eating clean and LC as it makes me feel better, but I guess I feel more comfortable knowing that it's normal to have treats here and there.

Soda. Not that it's something that I'm addicted to, it's just that I know it has hardly any nutritional value and gives me hardly any satisfaction compared to other junk food like cake and donuts (which I'm happy to eat in moderation).

I agree about counseling. Although I have not experienced the same type of loss, I do battle with depression and anxiety and it really helps to have someone to talk to without any fear of judgment or feeling like a burden to anyone. I just use my employer EAP and it helps a lot with no cost to me. Regardless, if that's not…

That makes sense! I should have probably checked that out first. Thank you

For me the main thing is to not eliminate the "bad" foods I love from my diet and allow myself treats. This way when I get the urge to eat them I can remind myself that now is not the time to have them but it will be soon! Also, I'm addicted to junk food snacks so I only purchase single servings when it's time to treat…

Oatmeal and eggs. Usually two egg whites and one whole egg scrambled with sautéed bell pepper, onion, mushroom and spinach followed by a bowl of oatmeal or oat bran because my body craves carbs in the morning. If time is limited then just a bigger bowl of oats.

You're definitely not wrong, it is harassment. I constantly find myself rethinking my workout apparel out of fear that I will get too much attention while out running. It seems like some men think that its not a problem if they follow the 'look but don't touch" rule but they don't realize how bad it really is. Receiving…

Maybe you could try removing unhealthy snacks and food from your fridge? I'm the type of person who cant eat just on serving of chips or cookies (I'm referring to the large family bags). I have to eat it all at once even when I'm full so I stopped buying those things. Whem I want a treat I buy individual packages so when…

Although I try not to consume them too often, I'm pretty sure that you will see weight loss with these simply because they are low calorie and they take the guess work out of counting calories. They might cause bloating from all of the sodium but if you're drinking plenty of water it won't be that bad. I'm no nutritionist…

These days I actually prefer working out at home over riding to the gym. I recently signed up for the fitness blender 4 week workout program which is really whipping me into shape. I feel it's really helpful and they also have full length videos which are free to supplement the program on off days. I still make an effort…

Thanks for commenting...I figured it wouldn't be classified as hi it. How would something like this compare to doing a regular 30 minute jog/ run on the treadmill?

Thank you EVERYONE for your answers! I don't intend on only using 5 pound dumbbells but at the moment that feels like a lot for me! I plan to increase as it gets easier too! I will pick a routine from youtube I think because I have no idea what I'm doing to design a routine myself!

OKay thank you! I always feel guilty when I don't run haha

Congrats for taking back control of things! After only 2 months of being put down by depression and financial struggles within my family it has been super hard for me to become active again, so once more Congrats to you for getting out of your funk!! You can do it

thanks guys...I decided to just let that slide lol..I 'll stick to the sashimi and nigiri!

tilapia is very low in calories.. mine say 98 calories per filet, super easy to cook...I don't really think any seafood is really close in texture/consistency to poultry. Maybe go for a nice hearty fish like wahoo (if they have it in your country) or halibut. you probably shouldn't bother with things like shrimp or mussels…

I am really picky when it comes to texture and I think that plain quinoa would have a texture that resembles tiny bits of barley however in this recipe it is not bad at all. I'm sorry that I'm not much help, but I honestly ate this so quickly and enjoyed the flavour so much that I didn't even process the texture at all. :/…

Well I didn't give up the sweets (ice cream!!) cold turkey but what I did do was keep them out of the house! That way I could only get my hands on them when I went to the shops. after a while I really did stop craving them. If they aren't in the house you won't eat them. I only have the desire to eat the junk food now if…
