I also could have written your post. It took me three years to lose 40lbs. I met my husband about two years ago and have since gained a little over 50lbs. Many days, I have the intentions of logging my food, eating healthy, and getting in some exercise but it all seems to go out the window by the time I'm home from work.…

You should definitely contact Fitbit support. I had an issue with mine not holding a charge for more than a day and they sent me a new one.

Also from MA.

I usually have a container of 2% plain Fage greek yogurt, local honey, and 1/3 cup of Ola Vanilla Almond Granola.

Awesome!!!

I log in every day (300 days today!) and have an open diary. I don't follow any specific plan aside from being aware of my calorie intake. I have a food allergy and try to stick with organic and/or preservative free foods so I don't feel like crap. Anyone can feel free to add me.

I went back to the gym. I've been paying for it for over a year without setting foot in the place.

Great job! You look amazing! This is awesome motivation for me since I'm also 5'2"-ish. Thanks for sharing!

I purchased one at Weight Watchers when I was a member. I think it cost about $35 and it was worth every penny. I use it daily and it has definitely helped me to accurately portion my food.

I can also completely relate to this. I'm content being single, but right now I often feel very alone (not lonely--there's a difference!) I don't have many friends and the ones I do have are either married, in a relationship, or have kids and don't have much free time. I miss having friends who are able to go out…

Great job! Keep up the good work!

You can click on a username or profile pic, which will bring you to the person's profile. There's an "add as friend" button to click on to request to be someone's friend.

Congrats! That's a wonderful accomplishment!

Hi! I was diagnosed with a sulfite allergy this past fall. Sulfites are used as a preservative and pesticide in foods and are pretty much in everything. They can be found in seafood, wine, bottled water, salt, black pepper (yes, me too!), soaker pads in meat packages, and a gazillion other things. Although I do stray…

Welcome! I currently live in Worcester. I'm currently struggling with losing weight and getting in some type of exercise regimen. I work full-time and am also in school pursuing my graduate degree. I'm still working on getting in exercise, but I have been pretty successful with journaling even if it means I go over a bit.…

To lose 1 lb per week, I was initially set at 1560 based on my activity level and weight. I readjusted today after losing about 20lbs and I'm now set at 1480. I guess I'll see how that works for me. Feel free to add me if you'd like!

You are welcome to add me too! I log in each day and my diary is open.

Excellent!

I'm always looking for some motivation and new (active) friends too. Feel free to add me!

Sulfites are added to a lot of foods and can also occur in them naturally. Everyone reacts differently though. I have a pretty good idea of ingredients or foods with sulfites. At this point, I'm trying to figure out which ones give me a reaction. It took me a long time to get diagnosed because my reactions were always…

After a year of feeling awful, I finally found out I have a sulfite allergy. I am still learning which foods I am able to eat, but try to stick to organic foods.

Thank you all for your responses! I felt like I got to a point where seeing a therapist might help, but I wasn't really convinced that it would. I agree that I probably wouldn't be told things I don't already know--what to eat, what not to eat, why I binge, or what my triggers are, etc. I don't think it would be a bad idea…

Cleaning the toilet tends to keep my mind off food for a while.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I can only imagine what a difficult time that was for you. I suffer from binge eating as well and have had a hard time coping with it lately. I have considered getting professional help for it and have been doing a bit of research. I just purchased a book called Food Addiction: The…
