hells yes. I love these salsas - i have the ghost chile one but have not opened it yet.

chicken breasts are very lean to begin with so you dont really need to worry about it sitting in its fat in the oven. In fact, that will probably help the whole thing. I would cook them on the stove top if they are thin cutlets. If they are thicker breasts I would sear them on the stove top and then finish baking them in…

Here are my suggestions: try to find some protein bars that will not aggravate your allergy. Clif builder bars are good in chocolate and chocolate mint. apples berries - raspberries & strawberries have a lot of fiber carrots - have good amount of fiber cheese sticks - cracker barrel 2% milk extra sharp cheddar are the best…

bring a spare pair - and use them. Wet undies are so uncomfortable when everything else is fresh and dry.

I would not deprive myself so much. I could not get through the day on 600-800 calories - not even 1000. How do you focus on anything - I would be starving. I also get low blood sugar, which feels icky, so I have to eat regularly. If I have a bad weekend or bad day I balance it out with extra exercise and don't eat back…

i dream of natural crunchy peanut butter on whole wheat cinnamon bread. so good.

peanut butter sandwiches (i love them on pepperidge farm whole wheat cinnamon swirl bread), melted cheese on an english muffin, cold cereals, protein bar like a Clif Builder bar. I hate yogurt but a lot of people like greek yogurt with fresh or dried fruit and/or nuts. Look for some breakfast burritos in the freezer aisle…

yes, definitely. I like to eat nigiri when I do sushi. I actually do not prefer all the crazy rolls with 7 or 8 things in them - do you even know what you are tasting when you eat those things? It gets all muddled. And the nigiri is less calories per piece than a roll because it has less rice.

I would second the specialty cheeses, or try to get a nice steak or piece of fish. Many of the special organic and natural brands they now sell in the regular stores or even at target. They also have a nice store made dessert and bread area in my local stores- that is always my downfall in there. Have fun!

chicken broth is pretty low in calories. I would not subtract more than around 20-25 calories for the broth in a standard sized can of soup.

also, i think the 1/4 cup = 2 oz measurement is more for liquids.

I would say that in general most serving sizes of nuts are 1 oz. In this case, especially since the calories match for the 1oz of honey roasted almonds, I would assume they mean the salt vinegar ones are also a 1 oz serving. It does not makes sense that the change of seasoning would enable you to have double the portion of…

I eat something small 100-130 calories that will give some a good burst of quick energy but has a bit of staying power too. Right now i am liking the mini lara bars, or I buy a whole lara or other fruit and nut bar and cut it in half. It has some sugar/carbs and a bit of protein. I try to stay away from anything with too…

perhaps you should go see a nutritionist just a few times to help get you started properly and healthfully. Good luck :)

This is silly.

whatever works for your personally is what is correct. There is no right or wrong answer. I personally do not think it matters what time you eat, I eat dinner late, and sometimes even a snack before bed (gasp!).

cinnamon cheerios have a reasonable amount of fiber. You just really need to spend some time in the cereal aisle and read everything. You could feed them some fiber one cereals, or look for some more natural brands like Barbara's and Nature's Path that they sell at whole foods - they sell some of the same brands at Target.…

My breakfasts are usually peanut butter on a low fat waffle or whole wheat lower calorie toast Or I melt an ounce of 2% reduced fat cheese on an english muffin. or Kashi Go Lean Honey Almond Flax - not sure about the sugar in that though.

sometimes you MFP people make me laugh. HOWEVER- why are you posting this - those pictures of the giant delicious doughy soft pretzel and dessert tray might derail someone from their weight loss journey - and it will be all your fault - not theirs. How could you? Stop posting so insensitively.

brothy soups would be my guess, i think tomato soup is out.

yes, you can, but her recipes are usually made up of chemicals and fake food in order to make it low cal and low fat. Do your body a favor and try an Ellie Krieger cook book instead.

It is probably fine, I let my 10 year old step son have some of a builder bar if he asks.

seriously?

Is there anything healthy or even reasonable on Pioneer Woman? Someone should create a blog that only does healthier make overs of her recipes. If someone does that I want credit.

I made a very naughty pecan pie last night. The smell of butter while it was baking was ALMOST too much, but I am going to enjoy every bite and not even think about logging it.

are delicious

The short answer is - increase his calories, give him more food. Make dinner and feed him double what you eat. Or make a meal that can be lighter for you but you can add calories to his like make soup or chili and add 2% or full fat cheeses, sour cream, add rice or roasted potatoes to a protein and veggie meal. I often…

maybe you should see an allergist or other doctor. that sounds like an allergic reaction, and I think sometimes things like that can go from mild (like an uncomfortable swelling) to something more serious. my husband has a mild allergy to wheat and his doctor told him it could turn into a more severe allergy at any time -…
