I've heard the same thing. I'm very interested as I want to use chicken.

I have a jar for my oats that I use every day, I've just bought 4 more of the same and plan on preping a full week at a time. I slice strawberries and have pomegranate in them as well as oats and coconut milk. I'm assuming these will last fine if I mix them all up. But I had wondered about veggies, how they would fair…

does that actually work, I know when I have half an avocado in the fridge the only thing I've found that stops it going brown is to put it in an airtight container with chopped onion.

I would guess that (after a bit of internet research) that it's to do with not over eating, in that if you eat little and often, you shouldn't ever be starving hungry, at which point people often overeat to feel full. As for my calorie intake, yes I do weigh foods and log accurately (otherwise what's the point!?!), however…

She got it from a friend who is a nutritionist and advice I could try it if I liked, but it wasn't an instruction, just something I thought it was worth trying out.

how do you get away with a bacon sandwich?? seems a calorific breakfast to me. do you have any spread/sauce? what sort of bacon/bread do you use? something like that would appeal to me as I don't like bananas or peanut butter! :(

I've heard you're supposed to get your carbs earlier on in the day when you can use them, rather than at nite. my PT has given me a basic diet plan things she's trying that is 6 meals a day. Meal one - Carbohydrates protein and healthy fat (Bigger meal) Meal two - Protein vegetable carbohydrates (snack) Meal three -…

seems like there are mixed opinions, I think my main issue is growing up with a big evening meal, getting out of that habit of looking forward to that big tasty meal and all the carbs giving you that full feeling and getting my other half to change too.

wow! some great ideas! I love the breakfast burretos ideas! I used to make the mini crustless quiches in a muffin pan with bacon, cheese and peppers but I was worried there was too much fat and they didn't fill me for long and the eggs seemed to be slimy by the end of the week which was gross, but then I just stuck them in…

You're probably right, but it's a nice boost to start from and part of me is REALLY keen to get back down to my lowest point and start from there, like if I can shift the 40lbs I put back on, I can start a more regular routine, probably up my calories a little. I'll see how I go, it might be that I don't drop that much…

I think I log very accurately, I weigh almost everything and check packaging rather than trusting what MFP says as some of them are inaccurate. I lost 6.8 last week and previously have lost between 3-6lbs a week, yes this is rapid, however, I will only lose weight at this rate for a short time, from previous experience,…

hahah! I always think I look like a killer whale in my shiny wet lycra! lol I will swim eventually, but I just figure the time will come when I'll be ready to take that next step. I'm happy where I am for now. I've surprised myself at how much fitter I am than I thought, I assumed a sofa surfer like me at my size would…

I NEVER use MFP to track calories burned as it's basically just guess work and doesn't factor in how much effort you make. I bought a Fitbit Charge HR so that I could track my effort based on heart rate, steps and my bmr as I figured that would be closer to accurate.

There is no concern on that point, I know exactly why. I had a great exercise routine walking to and from work everyday and round town at lunch. I change jobs and passed my driving test, suddenly no more walking and a shorter lunch break! after the lack of exercise took its toll I lost motivation and the plot, started…

What is an accurate way of measuring calories burned? I really like the idea of calories in vs calories out, as I know it means that if there is the odd time I want to indulge, I can put in extra effort to mean it doesn't make too much of a dent in my progress. I strongly believe that for me, for this to be sustainable…

thank you earlnabby! that is kinda what my gut feeling was! I mean I'm all up for it it it keeps me for being too sore if I've really pushed myself, but I just didn't feel like this trend of ramping myself up with chemicals was necessary! Think as a bigger person it's hard to listen to your body as you've spent so long…

Can I ask how people know that? I have no idea what is the right about for me? the only health concern is gallstones but they only bother me if I eat take away food, which isn't an issue with my healthy eating now. other than that I have a clean bill of health, I'm just too fat! lol With that in mind, how do I go about…

I weigh over 300lbs and do over an hour of cardio. my understanding is the bigger you are the harder your heart has to work, hence burning more calories. I know that as I've lost weight, that number drops and that friends who a much lighter than me get no where near that figure. THough I realise that like logging food…

I have already lost over 40lbs (in fact last year lost 75lbs, but put some back on when I learned to drive), and I did that by eating no more than 1300cals per day and doing lots of works outs at home and walking. This time, I'm going to the gym 3 times a week and burning around 1000cals per session (have a fitbit HR which…

Just wanted to add an update that I've lost 74lbs so far in 9 months, (largely with food control rather than excersize - that's the next challenge!) and so far, apart from my tummy being a little more jiggly than it was, I'm not experiencing saggy excess skin yet!

Down to a muthaflippin UK size 22! Oh Yes! 291.4lbs currently!
-
Well done Frank! I'm just 2lbs away myself!

Different doctor. Saw a consultant ths time.

UPDATE: So, saw my surgeon about having my Gallstones/bladder removed and he said I could but at my BMI (over 50) I'm at greater risk of having to have the full open surgery, not the keyhole (the difference of 7-10 days recovery vs 6 weeks and a 6 inch scar). We decided that whilst I wasn't in too much pain, I could reduce…

I had a look at that Leon's place but I don't think that's right cos it has quite different ingredients.
