It's totally fine! This sounds like fun, I just doubt I'll be able to complete it in as timely of a manner as they did, though I guess time was definitly of the essence for them! I do not have Sauron breathing down my neck.

Whose journey are we doing? I thought Bilbo went to the Lonely Mountain and back. Not sure how far that is P: and it took Frodo about 6 months to reach Mount Doom, though they did have horses at times. (But also sopped for a chunks of time to frolic with elves).

Awesomesauce!

I would love to know any guesstimates for how long bilbo's journey took, though for some parts of it they did have horses and ponies.

Hijack away!! Great to build a community of support! And who doesn't love Tolkien. I guess ethos isn't too embarrassing to admit here, but a lt of times in the past where I felt like I was at my limit, I would think of Frodo, the little hobbit who traveled through all of middle earth and faced crazy obstacles. Super…

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QZe4WFk8n9I closest thing on robot chicken, lol. I hate when Netflix pulls things out like that :( did you like stargate Atlantis? I watched a lot of that in high school.

I think ET was more of an Easter egg I'm Star Wars, his species was in phantom menace I belive. I think it was 'cause he had the yoda reference in ET, not sure if it's widely accepted as canon or not. Also I agree that both the red shirts and troopers would die, most likely some other random accident would just make them…

Ooh I'll have to see if quantum leap is on netflix! And yes, I've never gotten the Star Wars vs. Star Trek rivalry, I grew up watching both and they a vastly different! P.s. This thread is great

Welcome new Sandi! Your story is so touching, and I'm so glad you have decided to turn your life around! With these healthier eating habits and the treadmill + quitting smoking, you will just get more and more energy and feel so much better, which will help you make healthier choices more and more! Thank you so much for…

Haha awesome! I love douglas Adams, I have a much of his quotes hanging in my little office. I never watched quantum leap! So I didn't have that issue. Any of you guys watch any stargate? And do you Trekkies swing both ways into Star Wars? I sure do!

Holy cow! 20 years ago? No I can't -_- haha I never really got into DS9! I tried... I loved every other version, including Enterprise!

That's too bad :( I guess I'm lucky since I tend to really love fresh and healthy foods. I actually grew up in Brazil where processed and fast good we're never as big as they are here in the states! Temptation at every turn.

It's so hard! That's why I give myself a "cheat day" on Fridays. It's still a gym day and I still put in everything I eat to help me not go too crazy, but it's good to tell yourself "no, today I'll be good I can have some of this on Friday"!
-
Yeah that sounds like a tough habit to get out of! Have you ever tried quitting smoking? And it sounds like you've made a big first step on your journey so that's awesome! I'm so happy with all the responses I've gotten, I hope we can all bug each other and stay on track together!
-
Do you have a workout regiment to go along with your diet? Maybe don't try to make major changes, and start small at first! Little changes and better decisions can lead to a great trend! It's super hard, I'm working on being more disciplined and to end my binge eating habits for good.
-
I hope you do bug me cause I'm a serial slacker! And yes life makes it tough to be anything much more than a casual geek!
-
It was so good! Me and my hubby went together, he still begs me to buy a Lego set every week too, so this movie was a big deal to him :P
-
I second this!! You look amazing!

Hi everyone! I love cosplay, though I've only done it once or twice myself, I'm pretty shy and don't really have many friends who are into it either. However I would love to add some of you on MFP, I have zero friends on there and I feel like having any kind of connections will help me stay on track! Hope you all don't…
