I lift 4-5x a week and I will do insanity (month 1 DVDs) for probably 3 nights a week for cardio. It has been working well thus far.

I found it to be very interesting and I think I might take a stab at recreating it. Perfect nutrition made easy. And then the idea of eating meals for social purposes- like going out for social purposes. He also states it could be used purely as a supplement.

^^^ How much do you eat? And how do you hit your caloric goals? And what do you do for lifting? Those would all be helpful for her!

^^ No need for name calling here. The point is to try to help the newbie! I'd suggest lifting 3-4x a week and if you want to do cardio, do HIIT once a week to keep your heart healthy (no more than 20 minutes). And eat what was suggested by other people. Great ideas there!

I use dymatize and love it. Its about 40/ 5 lbs online. drink it for breakfast five days a week.

I took breaks as needed and let it keep going. Even the highly trained people in the video needed "extra" breaks. Once, I caught my breath... back at it.

Sometimes I will do this circuit for my cardio: 20 pushups as fast as I can 10-20 second rest 20 squat jumps 10-20 second rest 10 pull ups 10-20 sec rest 30 sec- 1 minute plank 10-20 second rest 10 burpees repeat 3x

I did it last year. I went from 188 to 172 by the end of it and was in the best shape I had been in. Unfortunately, I did not really have a grasp of anything nutritionally then and I know eating is 80% of the battle. So, who knows where I would have been if I was eating properly.
