I have started substituting gum for snacking and it is working really well for me. I sit at a desk all day and it seems to help with the constant grabbing of salty snacks that I would normally eat in the afternoon.

That is SO AWESOME! Congrats!

I just introduced a co-worker at lunch today! She was amazed at how much cheaper everything was. In my area, they have some of the best produce and you can't beat the prices!

Turned 40 in March and am looking to ramp this weight loss thing up a notch. Slacked a ton in the summer and am getting back on the boat with a whole new determination. I added you and anyone else feel free to add me.

I am in the same boat!!!! Went on vacation and totally lost my exercise mojo. :( I will try the 10 minute thing tonight....see if that finally pushes me over the edge. :)

I wish I knew how hard it would be on Day 1 but how quickly that would change. In all honesty if I hadn't paid for great running shoes I probably would have thrown in the towel after Day 1. But I didn't and I kept going and every week was hard, but it was the good kind of hard and I started to crave it and love it. I…

That's awesome!!! Congrats!

Thanks for posting that article! Very informative. I didn't think I was using my nose at all when I ran but when I ran earlier this week it was stuffy and boy did I miss that extra bit of oxygen!

Congratulations!

My sister and I are doing this together and Week 6 was the first week we had to repeat. We finished it the second time but it still felt hard. We are in the middle of week 7 now and I think the first 25 minute run was easier than Week 6! Just keep pushing, you'll get there!

I'm in the middle of week 7 and can't believe it! I started just praying I'd survive until week 3. It's a great program. Can't wait to join you as a graduate!!! Congratulations!

Good to know because I'm SUPER slow! I run with my sister and if we weren't running on a straight path I think she'd be lapping me frequently. She always jogs back to me so we can do the last 60 seconds or so together.

Turned 40 last Friday with a 4 year old daughter and 2 son's: 14 & 10. I laughed as I was brushing my daughter's hair that when I was 20 I never would have believed you if you had told me I would have a 4 year old at 40! I came home from college for my parents 40th birthdays......

Feetures are my fave but are about $10 a pair at my running store. I supplement with addidas drymax socks from Kohls. They are 2 pairs for $12 full price...but are always on sale for less. They are good fill ins while the Feetures are waiting to be washed :)

I heard all the stupid comments too but the one that bugged me most we the: Do you play basketball or volleyball? When I would say neither they would shake their head and say such a waste of height...... Ugh! Tall does not necessarily equate to athletic prowess! Now my daughter is 4 but I have to buy her size 7's because…

I watch Dance Mom's when I work out.......those ladies know how to make an hour on the elliptical fly by!

There is a recipe swap group too. I joined but haven't really poked around too much. I did see when I opened it the first time there was a crockpot section.

Looks just like my baby Brena!!! She is SO sweet! But snores like a sailor! That was at Ananotbanna but apparently i "replied" instead of "quote".....

Turning 40 in March and looking forward to it! I thought the 30's were way better then the 20's so I'm expecting big things out of my 40's!

Got it done last night but forgot to get back on and note it. Still feeling it in my thighs! It's been a long time since I've done a squat :)

I'm a sucker for a motivational quote! That was the saddest part about the new signature policy for me, I loved reading all of those. Here is one that I always liked: “It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great.” - Tom Hanks, A League of their own

Hi, I'm Stephanie. I'm 39 with 3 kids (13, 10, 4) and I work full time in payroll and part-time in retail. At the end of most days I find it hard to get motivated to do anything for myself other than veg on the couch after everyone is unconcious. I am really looking forward to this group and starting to do something…

215.5 this week. :( My daughter was in the hospital so diet and exercise have flown out the window the last two weeks. She's all better now so it's time to recommit and undo the damage from stress eating Halloween candy.

Really needed to read this! Having a hard time getting over the hump. Great advice! Thanks for posting.
-
Great chart! Thanks for all the hard work!

Today's weight 213.5. Yay! Good luck this week everyone!

1. Drink AT LEAST 8 glasses of water EVERY DAY - I'm great at this on the weekdays while I sit at my desk. I know I don't get enough on the weekends though so that will be my goal for this Saturday & Sunday. 2. Try a new exercise that you don't normally do- I just got my Wii Zumba so my goal is to do that three times this…
