The social community is not the same as the news feed. The activity feed is nowhere near as user-friendly and does not provide the same social interaction experience. At all. MFP is not the app it used to be. Claims that the newsfeed is “a seldom used feature that will be discontinued as a result“ is completely false.…

FR sent. Anybody else is welcome to send me a FR for Fitbit. https://www.fitbit.com/user/246TJQ

Anybody, add me. I have a quirky sense of humor AKA I tell bad jokes and corny puns. That's my superpower. But I'm always here and I'm motivated.

Hello, all! I understand the struggle. I'm very active, but I'm also an enthusiastic eater. Anybody, come one, come all... add me if you want. :-) Good luck!!

When I was 18, I was hanging around with a group of people who didn't know me that well. They were playing with a ouija board. I was entirely sober and I don't touch drugs. I was just sitting to one side, not taking part in any of it. After a while, one of them who didn't know me but was messing around with the board said…

Anybody can add me here. I'm a lifer on FitBit, too.
-
Anybody can add me here. Then PM and I'll get you on my FitBit. I've been on FitBit for over five years so I'm going places, but only one step at a time. Hah.
-
Yes. Minnesota friends?! Feel free to add me.
-
Hi folks! Anybody looking for friends, I'm available in that capacity. :) Highly interactive and ridiculously enthusiastic about fitness.
-
In for active people or aspiring gym rats. Okay, anybody with a sense of humor, I'm here for you. :-)
-
So many beautiful people here! My ugly pic will make you all look even more perfect... if the MFP development gods are in a good mood, that is.
-
Anybody can add me. I interact with all of my active MFP friends regularly and after years of being here, I finally got my sh** together last year and am here to help you kick some a**, too!

I don't want to make this about me, but to make my point, I will. I used to be one of the newbies. But that was a couple of Octobers ago. I tried to ignore the arrogant haters who disdainfully looked at me like I was a fat guy didn't have any business at the gym. Today, 60 pounds less than I was then, there are still those…

This is me. https://www.fitbit.com/user/246TJQ Aaaaaand, if you are a weight-lifting gym rat, you can add me on JeFit if you want. Awesome app. AWESOME. http://www.jefit.com/2907496

You are definitely staying active and getting a good amount of cardio. I see Zumba on your exercise diary. That probably includes lunges and squats. How about adding additional strength training if you currently are only doing body weight exercise, e.g. within the Zumba? In any case, strength training of some type, be it…

I am highly motivated & interactive on MFP & FitBit, close to 3 years on both and I never miss a day. I do tons of cardio & 3-5 days of strength training each week. I welcome madcap regalia regarding your NSVs, encouragement, & random thoughts. Feel free to add me here or on FitBit or both. That goes for anybody serious…

As someone who was insulin resistant: Even though everyone is different and your body may respond faster or slower to exercise, you can fight back and reduce or possibly even eliminate the symptoms of diabetes by working out. As everyone here says, work out, work out, work out as much as you can. I recommend that you log…

I struggle with keeping correct form when doing dumbbell squats. I try to maintain form as if I am moving to sit with my butt on a box (probably a poor description) and keeping my knees from moving too far forward. But keeping my body weight far enough back, I feel on the edge of losing my balance.

To the OP, if you are ugly, then please join me behind the viewfinder. Photographers like me ARE photographers because we like our cameras and if we got in FRONT of the camera.... CRACK! We'd break the damn things. And cameras are just WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for that!!! But seriously, come on over to the studio sometime and do…

268. I started very slowly and only ran 30 seconds at a time. I have a long way to go but I run/walk intervals, typically two minutes at 6 mph alternating with five minutes at 3.5 mph. I do a lot of walking, up to nine miles a day, but I only run every second or third day.

I respectfully disagree with the legitimacy of that reasoning. Why? Because its an excuse, a crutch. It's a poor excuse. You may worry about being the heaviest person at the gym today, but so what? Will you always be the heaviest person at the gym? Only if you choose to be that guy. You are not in competition with the…

Frankly, excuses are not going to get you anywhere. You have hypertension now. Sounds like you need some tough love. Have you considered what other health-related maladies you are likely to get in the future? These diseases/problems tend to go hand-in-hand. I WAS a good example of that until very recently. Got hypertension…

momforone, you say that you like to snack at night. Do you log every single thing you eat on a consistent basis? I mean, day in and day out, the good, the bad, and the ugly. If you are going over your calorie objective for the day, do you log every bite anyway? Everybody is different, but for me, as soon as I started…

Glad to see that you are consulting a trainer on Friday. If you can swing it, maybe get on a regular workout schedule with the trainer weekly or biweekly. I go to a gym regularly but was not losing pounds or inches. But I got on a program working with trainers and that was a great decision. That added accountability,…

I take it that BJs is like Sam's Club or Costco?

After all this time using MFP, I never noticed the bar code icon. Ironically, as soon as I read this forum thread on my computer, my phone prompted me with a hint from MFP: How to use your bar code reader to add food items to your log. :p

Your story sounds exactly like it could be the story I am writing right now. I agree with other comments here. You saved your own life! (And I hope to be able to say those same things or similar things later this year). One day at a time.... Keep up the great work!

I'm ready to be part of this group challenge. Twenty-five pounds is a good loss goal. I'm in. Anybody who is part of this challenge and wants to add me, feel free!! I am in CDT-Minnesota, not that it necessarily matters, and my typical weigh-in is Friday but for this challenge, I will add a Monday weigh-in.
