When I was a teen I drew one on paper. I don't know why...I think it was mostly done out of boredom and me being rebellious towards my religious family but anyway, my aunt found it in my room as she was cleaning (as I was living with her) she told my dad and I got the biggest lecture of my life. I've never touched a board nor will I ever. Not even when I worked in retail. I refused to stock them. I guess that lecture worked lol0

My mom swears to this day that in middle school the Ouiji board gave her my dad's name as the man she would marry. Then in high school she met him in choir and they're still together. I have tried so hard to get her to go back on this story and she wont. I have to believe her because would never lie about something so stupid.2

And what is your dads name? Not impressed unless it is RARE. Cause whats the odds of marrying a Michael or John or David? Like.. 1 in 10?0 -
I will never, go near anything like that, ..... Never mess with things you know nothing about... weather you believe or not.... Oh and in all the movies it seems the Catholic Church are the only authorities on the subject... I think that's crap.4

She she's it was first and last. First name George. Last name is not common at all.0 -
Okay, so when I was in middle school I got invited to a slumber party and the girl whose house we were staying in had a Ouija board and wanted everyone to play. I flat out refused to, then pretended to be sick so my mom could pick me up (fun fact: I can totally make myself throw up without sticking anything down my throat). I never went to that girl's house again.
I may not be as superstitious/religious as my older family members, but I still don't mess with *kitten* like spirits and demons and whatnot.0 -

Smart man.
My sister had a friend who was Wiccan, which I thought was really cool up until she tried to convince my sister to perform a Samhain ritual at the cemetery. She got so mad when my sister refused. Our (immediate) family is super strict about not messing around with stuff like that. We have a few distant relatives who are brujas and practice brujeria but we steer clear of them for obvious reasons.
Like @Bonedaddy1975 said, you could possibly be inviting things that you can't control, and even if you don't necessarily believe in spirits/demons/etc, I think it's still wise to err on the side of caution, y'know?1 -

I'm not sure I believe in all that, but I still haven't tried one nor intend to.. and I AM religious. I read the Bible every night and have for 18 years. I have never seen anything in the Bible about symbols or games opening doorways but there is possessions like in the case of legion and the boy with epilepsy. It didn't take candles and chanting to cure them like in horror flicks though. That's just ridiculous. Why humans feel the need to turn everything into a huge production and ascribe supernatural abilities on powerless objects is beyond me. I place oija boards and tarot card stuff in the same category as praying to baal. Of course the Bible says not to have anything to do with mediums and familiar spirits and that the dead has nothing to do with the living world. They can't communicate with us.0

Ouji rates up there with detox cleanses and essential oils. I still have to believe my mom though.

My mom , her cousin and my aunt did it. They were only like 12 & they asked for George Washington to come through. Nothing happened at first & then my grannies rocking chair started rocking back & forth violently. They freaked out and never touched the board again. Lol Never found out if it was Georgie tho.0

When I was 18, I was hanging around with a group of people who didn't know me that well. They were playing with a ouija board. I was entirely sober and I don't touch drugs. I was just sitting to one side, not taking part in any of it. After a while, one of them who didn't know me but was messing around with the board said that somebody wanted to talk. Then they spelled out, unprompted: "Okay, Buckwheat." My best friend (that none of these people had ever met) died in a car accident a year before. He used to say 'Okay, Buckwheat' ALL THE TIME, numerous times every day. I'm sure it was just a coincidence.1

I have seen the movie but I have never played with the game0

This is exactly like the one we used to have in the 70's. And the eye was very active with barely even touching it.

I had a teacher once tell us to never ever mess with them. I don't wanna mess with anything I don't understand either.
I was at a sleepover once when I was in high school and one of the girls offered to take out her board. I refused to participate.2 -
