I have had mine for a week now. Just playing with it for the most part. It seems accurate. I spent the day doing almost nothing but watching TV, and spent days with high activity. All the numbers seem very possible. Except for driving. I drive 12 hours a day, and I have to agree with others, don't wear this thing while…

check ebay. they have armbands for any phone.

To everyone confused about the negativity on this post... there was proana/thinspo references and listed as the op's "inspiration" on their blog and profile. I see these have very recently been removed. I hope all who looked past it, ignored it, and even defended her might understand that they are patting the back of…

Haha, but I am afraid you will count it as a meal :)

Haha, okay. I will be sure to do more research next time or ask questions. Oh wait, my post was me asking questions. Everyone is so quick tempered and defensive here. Did you all just need a cookie?

Type in google "what is thinspro" or just go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thinspo

I wasn't trying to be rude in my original post, this just happens to be my first time stumbling on proana / thinspo whatever stuff. I had to look it up - had no idea what this was. :) Have fun. I think there is enough information on this forum to eat more to lose more. If you have no calories at the end of the day and so…

I am reading your blog, and I don't understand. Why do you need to "make it look like you are eating more"? 100 calories is not a meal either, unless you are on a 20 meal per day diet?
-
I have to agree and say that I also enjoyed your post. Very well written. I am on a similar journey. Same height, starting out at 300 lbs, currently down 24. It's amazing to see someone get so far. I hope you will enjoy every moment of your success that you can, despite the loss of your wardrobe.

I couldn't find these things you were talking about in my fridge. :P I only have veggies when they are wrapped in carbs. Like subway, pita pit, ect.

Plain dry popcorn. Munch munch munch

Peanut butter sandwich is high in calories. 2 pieces of bread and 2 tablespoons of pb is something like 380 calories.

Time to get into the gym. If you are eating 160 calories less than you are burning, your results are going to be minimal over such a short time period 160 calorie deficit /day x 7 days a week x 3 weeks =3360 calories. 3500 calories = 1 pound. Your weight will fluctuate all day long, more on some days than others…

Large tubs of yogurt that only add up to around to 200 or so cals. I find eating the whole thing turns me off food for more of the day. Add some bananas or protein powder or cereal if you wish to make it a meal instead of a snack.

Check out this review to see if the small difference between the devices are really worth investing more money... http://www.getgrok.com/2013/01/a-comparative-review-28-days-with-the-fitbit-one-jawbone-up-nike-fuelband-and-bodymedia-link/

You are just borrowing calories from the next day. I don't understand why even wait until midnight, it's still counter productive. Pick a time that your first meal starts. Such as 7am, breakfast. Anything you eat before then is still the previous day. No point in disrupting your sleep, if you cheat, you are only cheating…

Check out this comparison. I think this is the most interesting article I have read on these devices. http://www.getgrok.com/2013/01/a-comparative-review-28-days-with-the-fitbit-one-jawbone-up-nike-fuelband-and-bodymedia-link/ (edit cause I forgot to give the link haha)

You might not want to eat that food after you have been around it all day anyway. Try and gross yourself out about how the food is stored, prepared, handled, ect :)

I agree. Don't put anything in the microwave that you expect to keep any value from. Popcorn that you are filling a snack and calorie need, sure destroy that in the microwave. Protein oatmeal, why diminish it's value by zapping it? I usually will put a cup of water in the microwave to boil it. Then add it to my protein…

Awesome job!! I can't believe how much your before body and my current look so much alike.
-
That does not sound fishy. You will lose a large number on the scale starting a diet. The larger you are, the bigger this number might be. It's likely water weight.
-
weight fluctuates more than that anyway, just enter whatever number it gives you and move on. It will not affect your long term goals.
