Face progress pics, 59 lbs lost
] My next weigh in I am saving for my birthday on the 27th. Once I reach 60 lbs lost, I will be considered "overweight" rather than "obese", which I have been all my life. I take a ton of progress photos and face shots because when I look in the mirror, I see no difference. It's very strange.

100 days 43.6 lbs, 11 days not smoking
I promised to post photos on day 100, so I made a cheesy collage. Thanks to all my friends on MFP who keep me sane and motivated.

Cheating shortcut magic pill in a shakeweight dispenser?
My question is, are there any shortcuts out there? Or are they the typical BS scams that make our economy so successful? I do my cardio, lift, count calories, stopped drinking my calories, and am discovering healthier things to shove down my throat. I am seeing progress with my changes, and can maintain this for a…

Not losing weight anymore?
I have been using the spreadsheet to come up with my goal of 2190 calories. This is with my routine exercise included. If I do more or less at the gym I will try to go over or under my calories just slightly. I weigh everything, I drink lots of water, I get lots of sleep. I seem to be stuck. I am 6'4, and currently 284.6…

What "fit person's" activity are you planning on attempting?
I signed up for a 10k run April 27th. I am 282 lbs right now, I think I might be down to 270 by the race. I can run 1 mile in 10 minutes before I collapse, so I have a long way to go. What "fit person's" activity are you planning on attempting?

Warning: I love cereal
It's my favourite thing to eat. I use to have a bookcase that contained every type of cereal I could find, and I would eat about 3 heaping bowls as a meal, with some toast. Now, I knew a full heaping bowl was more than a serving. But I never thought that a heaping bowl is more like 5 or 6 servings :( Here's one of my…

I stole someone's motivation
I remember seeing this a while ago, and thought it was a great idea. I can not find the original person to give them credit... so I'll just outright steal it. Thanks who ever you are :D . This makes a great addition to my nutrition station.

Baking soda, work out longer without muscle burn?
I read this on livestrong, before I test this out, has anyone else? Add a teaspoon of baking soda to your drinking water before cycling to potentially boost your anaerobic performance. In a study published in 2008, scientists at Loughborough University found that athletes who ingested sodium bicarbonate before exercising…

High calorie, High protein breakfast?
So far works for me, starts me out with lots of energy, and keeps me full for more than half the day. Anyone else? There is a protein shake in the photo that mfp has cropped out.

Do you aim for Calories, or Carbs/Fat/Protein/Sugar
I am trying to preplan my work week's meals. I am wondering if it is more important to be close to your calories, or to make sure you got enough of everything else? It seems the fad diets focus on Carbs/Fats/Protein/Sugar, but I see all the success from calorie counting. Do you have a secret weapon when it comes to…

Roadmap 2.0 should be eating 3169 or 3631 calories?
6' 4", male, 29 years old with a bmi of 39.9. When I follow the directions of the roadmap 2.0, am I really suppose to eat 3631 light active, or 3169 sedentary calories to lose weight? I know the suggestion of 20 or 30 % lower for obese, but that is still 2904/2541 or 2535/2218 calories a day. Any suggestions? should I…

Anyone have a nutrition "station"?
I thought it would be smart to put everything I want to eat in one place, so that I am not tempted by the girlfriend's foods. (she can eat anything and stay 110 lbs) Anyone else do this? I have done this in my fridge too, putting all the foods I can eat in a bucket on the same shelf as all my silk drinks. My favourite…

Getting sick
I am 300 lbs, and 6'4. (scale says I lost 10, but scales are known lairs) I want to lose weight and tone up. I started counting calories and signed up to a gym 2 days ago. I think I am doing something wrong because I came home and started violently throwing up. Before anyone says anything, I know I am not preparing any of…
