Whole eggs are wonderful...and recent research now throws doubts that eating eggs has any significant affect on cholesterol levels. Like any other food, eat in a balanced healthy diet and theres no problem
-
Looking at your diary you don't seem to be massively way under on most days....in fact your diary looks pretty good. My only comment would be perhaps it would help to eat more protein & reduce your carbs..to kick start some weight loss.

welcome, this is a great site, lots of support and plenty of fun too, enjoy

we eat a full tray 2 1/2 doz free range eggs between two ff us each week, neither of us has tested for high cholesterol

We don't have egg beaters here in the UK, at least I've never seen them..but I've read that they are dyed yellow so that they look like scrambled eggs when made. Is that true? That alone would put me off ecause I avoid yellow colouring wherever possible as my mother was poisoned by yellow food colouring..that was in her…

Whole eggs for me, free range..and nearly every day. Yes the yolks have the most fat but they also have the taste..and in my book this is for life..so I want good tasting food.

I do the Leslie Sansone Walk away the pounds indoor walking sessions, excellent workouts..you can find them on you tube...look for the 10-15 min ones....

I had a 'splurge' with a celebration meal on Thursday...which was yum..since then I have increased my water & veggies....and cut my cals by 2-300 each day..tomorrow I'll eat normally as its my major exercise day.

ooh yes I like your Diary, lots of lovely familiar food LOL!
-
I do but living in the UK people say they haven't a clue what half the foods I eat are LOL!

Go to the section relevant to the question you want to ask ie food/nutrition or Introduce yourself etc...and look for green button to top right.."Post Topic" click this and away you go!

Processed foods should be avoided where possible, they are useful for time savers...but as a daily diet not ideal.

Is this to cheer yourself up after yesterdays meltdown & calorie blow out...or just another excuse to ruin the good work you have already done because you are bored of the dicipline & effort it takes to get fit. You know its possible to enjoy yourself without pigging out......don't use it as another excuse......i remember…

Brilliant..just brilliant!
-
Good because looking at your profile you don't have that much to lose..and as a fit active young man it should be a breeze.....get back on track and make sure you eat ALL your goal calories as the first thing I noticed reading your diary was that you have the odd chocolate bunny spare on each day in calories. Eat all MFP…

Swap your splenda for Stevia..its kinder to your body as its a plant

Not one person has suggested fish.....non oily fish is a great source of lean protein...and oily fish is an even better source...and as the fat in oily fish is Omega3 good fat should not be counted anyway in your fat totals.
-
Don't let a needle phobia stop you from having vital blood tests....even if they hurt...which actually they don't...even if they did....it can hurt a lot more if you end up really sick..get to the Doctor and get some tests done...yoou can do it..and you should....

Week 2 weight loss added...a brilliant idea..hope Rosy agrees.
-
Wow, I've never had that...if i did I'd have a fit LOL!!!!...Weight gain OMG nooooooo
-
Just what I was going to say. I've been counting calories for nearly a year now..and MFP has mad it so much easier....before it was pen & paper...now since Jan..its a dream its so easy. I'm afraid that if I don't log its just too easy to over eat.....in my mind not to log is just another form of laziness..like not…

Protein is set quite low on here, don't worry if you exceed it..as long as you have veggies & fruit in your diet as well you'll be fine. I have reset my goals to allow much higher protein & I often exceed that too...protein keeps the hunger pangs at bay.

Poor you, depression is a terrible thing to battle with, and sadly to lose weight you really do have to be in the right frame of mind to make the right choices for yourself. However giving up will not help you in any way whatsoever, infact might even add to your feelings of frustration and guilt...my suggestion is to make…

The other problem is as you get older it is much harder to lose weight..(oh how I know this to be true) because you have already lost muscle mass..a natural ageing thing....its hard.....but it will happen...but exercise is important..exercise is essential for bone density as well as muscle tone for us more mature ladies!!!
-
You won't have put anything on in the way of 'metabolised fat' however you may have a temporary scales weight gain due to extra volume of food taken in on one day (in the gut!) extra sodium/carbs that one might assume would be in that high calorie food...plus your body may temporarily decide to 'hang on (store)' some extra…
