  • I'm in aiming for 5lbs
  • Yes I do, either a Friday or a Saturday night my husband makes home made pizzas. The rest of the week I stick to healthy eating.
  • I have a fitbit charge HR and I love it. I have swapped to using that instead of my Polar HR monitor as I can just wear the fitbit all day and get my steps and calorie burn counted as well.
  • I own a dog home boarding business so see lots of lovely dogs, these three though are my favourites as they are mine. The blue whippet is Smudge, the brindle lurcher is Maisey and the little jack russell is Bryn

  • lower fat, lower calorie food can still taste great. Plus once in a while you can still eat the good, rich recipes, just not every day!
  • I will not eat any food prepared by my step kids, if my husband is making dinner and wants to get the kids involved helping him they are not allowed to prepare any of the food I am going to be eating. I also wont let my stepdaughter make me a cup of tea. This is partly pettiness on my part - the kids were so fussy when we…
  • My baby boy, Smudge an 11 month old whippet can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.445323478552.227368.551018552&l=97fdd84c90&type=1
  • We recently talked my step daughter into swapping her bigger room with her younger brother's smaller room. The reason being she does nothing but sit on her butt reading a book or watching tv whilst he spreads his Lego etc all over the floor making up games. Once we explained why and did a little bribery with new curtains…
  • Most anti depressants shouldnt be stopped without a slow withdrawal so whilst I can see why you stopped taking them, until you talk to you Dr it would be better if you continued with your meds then he/she can advise how to correctly come off them.
  • Usually something by Scouting for Girls.
  • Sorry only just saw this. Well I am now training for a 10k but I want to start doing ParkRuns which are 5K runs held in different cities. There is one near me that hubby and I both want to do. They are every Saturday.
  • I just had a daisy tattoo on my left wrist to celebrate completing my first 5K run.

  • Great job! I always used to text hubby as soon as I finished my run. I completed the C25K end of May and ran the 5K Race for Life in July. I have just started the Bridge to 10K and started doing interval training to try and get my speed up - I am very slow!!
  • I recently got the EA game instead of the Zumba game for the Kinect. I usually customise the work out, on average I burn around 200 calories in 30 minutes - I have measure it with my Polar FT60 HRM as well as the game supplied HRM and they are roughly the same. It is good fun and 30 minutes goes really quickly.
  • I have recently started running and read women's running mag every month as well as a couple of other health and fitness mags, I seem to remember reading in one of them that when you initially start running you lose more muscle than fat but that once you are running regularly it reverses and you start burning fat rather…
  • My husband and I both do it. It is a great strength/toning work out and as everyone else has said you can start at your own level and build up. I also hate doing weights but have found I can cope with doing Body pump and bootcamp because they are both class based and not as boring as weights machines etc.
  • work, stepkids, why the hell is that person over the otherside of the gym doing that - it cant be good for you to do that, I wish I could run faster everyone round me is running faster, why am I doing this when I dont even like it.... and other such random stuff.
  • "When you have a "bad day, diet wise" people say Drink extra water. Purpose? " Because a bad day often includes processed and junk foods that are high in sodium which will increase the likelihood of water retention, by drinking plenty of water you will reduce the affect much more rapidly I believe.
  • Food :) just came back from Cornwall, there it was cream teas with delicious clotted cream! Thank god it was a walking holiday so I only gained 1lb.
  • thanks :)
  • I finished week 9 about 2 weeks ago and ran the Race for Life 5K yesterday, I managed to run the whole 5k and did it in 40 minutes, I am slow but I was soooo proud of myself completing the whole run without stopping.
  • Hubby and I bought a new stereo two years ago and it still had a cassette player on it  Neither of us have any cassettes anymore though
  • jogging/running I hope, I am still slow but can manage 30 mins so hopefully will be able to manage 40 mins by July.
  • Also sunny South Wales here, but not the bit where it never rains :ohwell:
  • I chant "I will not give up" in my head when doing the last couple of minutes of C25K and feeling like my lungs are going to explode or I am going to vomit on the treadmill, does that count??
  • I got hubby the Garmin 305 but I cant borrow it is huge and my wrists are just too tiny for it, it feels horribly clunky. I am looking at getting the garmin 110 because it is smaller but has enough of the features I want.
  • I wear my HRM and just log it as an exercise in cardio
