Epic Paleo is the definition of clean eating. This is for sure the right place. I left the Paleo support group and joined this one because people actually offer good advice instead of their own bias pompass response. Epic bars and larabars on the go. Macadamia nuts, almond stuffed olives, almond butter with celery or…

I have found keeping things simple saves me money and also reading about the "organic" marketing scheme of things have saved me money as well. If you are eating meat and veggies you are doing better than 90% of the population that lines up at the fast food joints during lunch. It is pretty sad in the states when you go to…

Blueberries or Strawberries for Fruit, Macadamia Nuts and Avocado for Fats, Beef or Shellfish for Protein and Parsnips or ANY Squash for Veggies. These I could eat every single day.

I am weighing and logging everything for a good long time and then after I have found my groove for a few months, going to try for all of 2015 anyways and then I should have a solid grasp on all food portion and sizes. I surely do not want to count and weigh everything forever but I want to be strict enough to where I am…

Oh yeah me too. I feel like I am high off of the sugar, also if I eat any bread it just feels like I have a huge sludge of crap in my belly. Makes it easier to stick to the plan when negative effects happen.

Try Epic bars, they are great. I love jerky as well but like a different option and these hit the spot.

I like no breakfast. I fast every day from 7pm to 11am. Never lethargic or loss of energy. But I only drink water and tea. Occasional coffee and I am very strict with my diet. I like to train fasted as well. Works for me

Sold! I am joining also after finding this group just now and this was the first thread I read. I have overcome massive depression issues with my diet. I have ZERO tolerance or patience for internet warriors. My diary is open and I practice a pretty clean diet. I use protein supplements and bcaa's/creatine for lifting…

Could not agree more! A practice that is helping me by doing IF. I only have to plan and decide two meals, not 6. A good YouTube guy on training said something very similar in regards to what training routine to pick. He said just pick one and stick with it and forget about the rest. So many are good but all different and…

That is on the shopping list at Amazon! Thanks for the added reassurance to get some of this.

I tried to offer a friendly word of advice to a "paleo" person who was eating 3 servings of paleo treat baked goods a day and they flipped out on me. I try to keep my mouth shut now. I really just want to help and I realize people could give a crap less what I have to say about anything so I try to not offer much until…

I jumped in with both feet and have had a great time with it like others said. I bought a ebook bundle, slow cooker, food processor and re stocked my spice cupboard. Got a new cutting board too and just went to town with new recipes that looked good. My body has helped me stay on track. I agree that eliminating it all and…

Welcome aboard! Here's to your new found happiness with food and energy! You are gonna love it.

I just talked to my local farm market butcher and he is making me a beef heart burger blend in 1lb packages. He said the hearts he gets in are around 7lbs so I will probably have a lot of it to eat. Hope I like it! haha I will still pound through it if I don't, gonna cost a good penny for all of that. Heading into organ…

Lucky you! That would be a riot, I would love to have a local group like that.
-
Welcome aboard! You will find that they will get curious and more than likely hop on board with you.

Well I got a lot from the thread, some solid info here. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to post even when the OP ditches out. Welcome Mizzy!

I eat in a eight hour window and have nothing but tea or water for sixteen. Some bcaa's before and after fasted workouts and I really could not be happier. I am never ever looking for food other than when it is time to sit down and chow. Food has become a necessity and not a comfort time. This helps me greatly coming from…

I eat two large meals and one snack depending on the size of my two meals. Sometimes I pound so much food I don't even feel hungry for a snack. It is great and really sheds a lot of worry about trying to track so many different meals.

I saw that on the news today and even when good evidence comes out they still put a couple staples of a good diet in the "bad" column. I am glad this is finally coming out. I am so tired of hearing about "whole grains" and "fat free". Enough already

Oh trust me I brush before bedtime........haha

Yeah man once your body adjusts to using fat as fuel instead of carbs combined with a good nights rest you will be able to take a small cup with you on your way to work and never need the bucket again! You will be pleasantly surprised with your energy levels if you really commit to this. punchgut seems to always have a…

I was on Paleo once and failed because I always got the third degree about the food budget because nobody else wanted to eat like me. I failed badly because of this. This year my wife hopped on board, she still has a little milk with the paleo crunch I make and a yogurt for lunch. But she gave up all grains and processed…

Yep more fat and protein. I eat avocados raw with salt and pepper, if you like sardines those are awesome and pack a good punch of protein and good fats. I like a sardine can and a banana after my workouts. I only eat one serving of fruit during a meal. Also use coconut, olive, avocado oils for all your cooking or good…

I track because I like to know the portion sizes and calorie intake of certain meats and oils. I will do it for a long time till I have a firm grasp on everything I cook and what sizes for each meal ingredients to consume. It will only help my knowledge of the lifestyle and if I can help others I will. Plus I cook…

I stayed on track and lost 10 lbs. But overall I feel amazing and my energy level is awesome. My pants are falling down so I need a new belt. My workouts are going good and might even try a Yoga class on Monday. Not sure about that yet.

Nice work! I joined up

I will be a part of anything that gets set up. My plan is to stick to this and not look forward to or even plan a cheat day. I went cold turkey and won't go back. I did it with alcohol 6 yrs ago and I am going to try it with this. I did not have a drink for 5 plus years, tried again a couple times and it was just another…

This is my first check in since joining and I weigh in on Sat mornings. First time on the scale on Dec 31st was 236.2 Jan 3 / Week 1 : 234.5 Jan 10 / Week 2 : 232.1 Jan 17 / Week 3 : 230.3 Jan 24 / Week 4 : 223.4 Just a bit over 10 lbs so far and I feel great! Mentally I think is my big win. I had a crappy depression year…

I am still getting those small hunger pangs for about 5 minutes and then it goes away a couple times a day before lunch and dinner. Otherwise all is going really good. I have a busy week too. Stopping by the farm market tomorrow for produce. I have a whole Turkey Breast to cook down for Turkey and Vegetable soup. Hope you…
