It IS the most awesome feeling in the world... I thought hitting the 200s was a great feelingfrom an original 375, but I hit onederland a few weeks ago and I'm still in it. Well done, fantastic job!

My sister in law told me I have bony knees!!! From 375lbs to 193lbs I'm now not ashamed to wear shorter skirts but it did make me laugh.

Yes..182lbs down just counting calories. I still have naughty foods but I've learnt they can be eaten in moderation and also that I didn't need to go on a diet but a lifestyle change. It's taken me 6 years but now I'm within a couple of pounds of being half the person I once was and I've just had hernia and tummy muscle…

'OMG I walked straight past you, I honestly didn't recognise you! '...... 2 family members recently. The best one was my sister in law telling me I have bony knees!!! Thats what 182lbs loss does!

Its the best feeling, well done!!

UPDATE: I finally had my hernia/stomach muscle repair and abdominoplasty on 4 November! They removed 5kg of skin which I donated to medical research... I have no need for it! I'm doing Ok, recovery is slow but steady. I will continue on MFG as I still would like to lose a few more pounds....if I can do it at the age of 61…

Update - I'm now 195lbs, I lost another 3 this week making a total of 180lbs lost! I saw my surgeon this morning and he's agreed I've reached the point where he'll operate on me to repair my hernia and stomach muscles, and remove the humungous apron of excess skin on my tummy - we're looking at around 8 weeks time,…

Good luck, I'm just waiting for my surgery date, I have my pre-op assessments in a couple of weeks.
-
Unfortunately, no :( - I asked my specialist and he said I'd need the CPAP machine always, which has dejected me a bit especially when you see all the extreme weight loss programmes where the first thing that goes is the CPAP.... but oh well. I also had to have a pacemaker fitted last November - because I've been very…

I'm just one pound from my original target - I set out at 375 pounds, with the aim of reaching onederland... today I'm 200 lbs, hopefully next week will see me at my target! Hasn't been easy, but MFP has been a great help and encouraged me to believe that I'm not on a diet, I'm on a lifestyle change. Good luck to all.

7983 + 174 = 8157

I'm currently at 274 but I've logged daily for about the last five years, unfortunately not having wifi when on holiday screwed me and reset every time!!!!!
-
Well done! Everyone has their own target, whether it be 5lbs, 50lbs or 150lbs. Mine was to lose 176lbs and get into onederland, I'm just 5lbs away from it now, yet my surgeon still wants me to lose another 18 lbs before he'll operate on me, so it goes on! I think your weight will fluctuate as you move on, as it always…

Special D - 'Run with Me' - my daughter got me into that one on the treadmill!!!!!
-
The smile says it all, well done!

Would love my scales to move more regularly, as I'm waiting for surgery and need to get to a certain BMI before they'll book me in, regardless of my actual 'size'. The tape measure is telling a different story though, the inches are falling off, which, whilst excellent news, is so frustrating because I need the scales to…

I'm still waiting, likely to be towards the end of this year

I remember that feeling well. 6lbs and I'll find out what onderland feels like! Well done, keep it up!!
-
171lbs lost, and only 6lbs to onderland!

Thought I'd re-visit this thread, 4½ years later - I've had to totally change the style of my glasses frame now as my face is no longer fat and round - hubby also bought me a new wedding ring last October, and already it's loose (I did warn him I wasn't done yet LOL) I'm down a shoe size and wide fit just fall off me. I…

Can you swim? Even walking in water burns calories, and as the water is weight bearing its not going to be bad on your hip.
-
Swimming? Much less stressful on your joints. I've suffered with fibromyalgia since 1998 so I feel your pain.
-
Yep sounds like Mortons Neuroma, I have the scar to prove that one!!! Do you get a feeling that you've got a pebble under your foot as well?

Being called a skinny b*tch by my darling son lol

I do tell people that I've lost 165lbs "so far" - this is a journey that I've committed to and I want to feel proud of myself after so many years of feeling ashamed. Only a few people know my actual weight, and the rest don't ask anyway, but most know that I still have a way to go as I'm waiting for surgery and my BMI has…

I was 60 last October, and now everyone tells me I look nowhere near that - just wish I felt younger LOL
-
Every pound off is a pound off - well done! I started off in the very high 300s and I'm now in the very low 200s, about to hit onederland, and its the best feeling! Keep it up, you CAN do it!
-
well done :)
-
My sentiment entirely. I realised a long while ago this was going to be a journey of lifestyle change, not a diet. Keep going!

Nothing really. I'd tried upping calories, lowering calories, upping protein, lowering it, more exercise, less exercise, you name it, I tried it. Eventually I got so fed up I just went back to my normal exercise routine of walking, my normal diet, and something must have triggered the loss again. I'm just as flummoxed,…
