there is a website called dotti's weight loss zone that has a large collection of restaurants listed. I try to check there or the particular website as the databsse is not always correct. I will find something comparable at a chain if we are at a local place and just use that as "close enough".

I take Barlean's Omega Swirl. It is a liquid instead of capsule. I use the "key lime pie" flavor It is actually tasty, not fishy at all. I have no idea about it's benefits for weight loss as we started for brain and heart health.

You can check out all the restaurant menus on allears.net That way you can plan what you might want to really splurge on. We went a few years ago and I actually lost weight. Last year we went and I went a little "cupcake crazy" as they added cupcakes everywhere. I didn't really worry about it, just enjoyed it because I…

Great job!

Awesome for doing it, and what a great time to boot!

Yay for you!

Great article! Given that I first started running in the Texas heat, I'm hoping I will find myself in a much better situation when the heat and humidty break.
-
W3D2 again, heat and humidity killed me today even though I was out the door by 6:10 a.m. I need fall and also need to somehow get over the mental hurdle that seems to be stopping me on the 2nd 3 minute run about 1/2 way through! Back at it Thursday!! ugh
-
W3D1 AGAIN, but I finally ran all but two steps of the running portion by slowing down. Monday I conquer those final two steps!

Just tried to quote mtcastillo86, but it doesn't show up as a quote, it shows as if it was my post.? New to the forum posting! Anyway, thanks for the reply, I will continue to try to slow down so I can go the distance. I think you're on target with the needing to train my mind, too! I hadn't run since 8th grade and given…

I lingered on W3 and W4 for a while. I'm on W6 now. I'd be interested in hearing other's take on this, but here is my opinion. Right now, you're in this place where you're training not only your body -- your legs and your lungs -- but also your mind. We get used to that voice in our heads that tells us we can't do it…

Did W3D3 today, but will be repeating the week. Seems as if it takes me 2 weeks each time to be able to fully do the runs. I'm still having trouble pacing in that I run the beginning runs too fast and then end up having to walk on the last one. Hoping I can get it together, starting to get frustrated, but then keep…

That is great!

Just finished week 2 day 2 (for the 2nd time). I was able to run all the running parts slowly! I am doing each week until I run all the runs completely. I never thought I'd say this, but I am actually enjoying it.
-
Thanks, think I will take today off completely and then try the shortening.

I echo the c25K program as a great place to start. I started 3 weeks ago, couldn't run the 60 seconds the first time (I'm 100lbs over weight) and decided I would keep redoing the week until I could do all the running portions for the full 60 seconds. It took me two weeks. I started week 2 that has 90 seconds runs. The…

Another idea is if you feel like it's not challenging enough, try to pick up your pace so that you end up going further each time. I actually just started. I'm redoing week one since I'm not yet able to run all the running portions, but feel proud that after starting at running only 1/2 of them, yesterday I ran all but 1…

Wow! Congratulations to you. So inspiring. Glad you are able to do what you love, and get paid for it!

One touch ultra mini- I've been very pleased with it, plus it's purple

That is awesome!

Thanks, glad to hear that it's not just me. Think for now I'll just do the belly rotation :)

Welcome, I too am new to MFP, but have been a type 2 for close to 15 years. I did great for the first few years, but gained a lot of weight with pregnancy and then went into denial. I totally understand what you mean! I've found in my 3 weeks of MFP that the biggest thing for me has been adding consistent exercise. It…

Yay for you! It's always nice to show positive progress.

Chicken Ranch tacos ~ throw all but the cheese and tomato in the crockpot and cook all day ~ We usually just use a small amount on top of a salad, but the kiddo loves it in a crunchy shell! Old El Paso - Taco Seasoning Mix, 40% Less Sodium, 1 package 90 18 0 0 1,617 0 Chicken Broth 33% Less Sodium - Swansons, 1 cup 15 1 0…

My quick go to is Chicken Ranch tacos in the crock pot - chicken breast, chicken broth, 1 pkg. taco seasoning, 1 pkg. ranch dressing mix. Cook all day. I make a salad for myself and then tacos for the kiddo. Is high in sodium, but overall not too bad.
