  • I don't have any fabulous advice for you but I did want to say I really admire your courage to put yourself out there like this. Keep up the good work and you will achieve your goals!!
  • This is the same for me...I will tell myself ok, just go and do a shorter workout so you get something in...then once I get started I feel better and end up working just as hard and long as a normal workout. It is amazing how you can trick your own brain...lol
  • I also have it and love it and I have not experienced any weight gain from it at all :-)
  • Awesome job!! Very inspiring :-) Keep up the awesome work!
  • Buying yourself gear is another great idea!! I know this was hard for me as I was a single mom for many years and have always been even more frugal when it comes to spending on myself. My lucky day was when I happened to come across work out clothes on clearance at Walmart!!! I bought several sets so I have enough for a…
  • I love this one too. I have a teenage daughter who wants to work out with me but is afraid to go to they gym as she is very self concious. I am going to have her read this entire thread!!
  • Thank you to all of you who have shared advice!!! I have been here for 25 days now :-) and I try to read some of the forums every day and I will say...this is by far my favorite one so far!!!!!!!!!! This advise (in my opinion and for me) is the most down to earth, human, doable advise I have seen. I know all of the other…
  • Everyone has offered great advise but I just wanted to second what someone said about seeing a counselor if possible. I was very much against doing so and thought it reflected badly on me but finally got to the point with a family situation where I felt like I had no other option. I only went about 4-5 times but just to…
  • YES!! They are out there as I have found one. It took me loving and respecting myself enough to feel like I deserved someone like him though, before I found him. Be proud of yourself and demand the love and respect you deserve! You will be MUCH happier for it :-)
  • I don't agree that you should not be able to talk about it/expect support from him. I believe that supporting one another is part of being in a healthy relationship. My significant other will go to the grocery store with me and spend an hour looking at labels and helping me make choices about what I want to buy. Like…
  • I agree!! Forgive yourself for those few days and get back to eating better today. When I have had slumps in the past it was due to not forgiving myself and that negative message gave me "permission" to continue doing badly. We all have set backs, don't let it deter you and don't go drastically the other way either. That…
  • Thank you....I spent a lot of time looking at things like this last night and I can not believe I missed this on the web site! I feel kind of foolish but thank you very much for the information!
  • I have been thinking about getting this also and I see you mention your arms have extra skin and are a bit fatty. That is my main concern right now is if the band would fit on my arm, Is it kind of elasticy? Do you think it would fit on someone with rather big arms? Thanks!
  • No, the hard part is not done. I have not chosen to take this route but I do have close friends who have. It does seem like the easy way out but it is NOT. There are a lot of physical and mental hardships that come along with having weight loss surgery. One of the hardest I think is that you have not built up the good…
  • I am a larger gal too...just over 300 and I have not yet purchased a HRM so I don't know numbers for sure but I love the elliptical machine. I feel like it does not put as much stress on my joints as running but I can use a machine that has arm movements as well and I feel like I get a good full body workout. I do pair…
