Hi Daisy, I remember you! I also had my surgery in July of 2013 and was very active on here for a year or so. Gained some back last year and have been turning it around again since last November. We're all worth it! Healthy, happy, and wonderful.

So good. For so many reasons. Thank you!

I'm now off the CPAP as well. Did not like having to use it at all!!! Breathe in... Breathe out... enjoy.

Here from Mt. Prospect (NW Chi suburbs). Walking, pool, yoga, gardening. Should probably add in some lifting but just haven't got into that. So nice to see all of you!!!

I was one year on July 26th. Doing well, I lost the weight the first 6 months and have been stable the second 6 months. I would like to shed 10-20 more and need to consistently apply the principles to do it. Much better this week, getting back to tracking daily has helped.

I'm in. Thanks for the good reminder about non-scale goals. As I've come closer to my goal its been easier to be discouraged by no changes in the weight. The two areas I will be aiming for are: 1. Completely track intake at least 5 days/wk 2. Get to the gym at least 2 days/wk This is what has worked and what will continue…

I, too, had a good bit of nausea those first few months. My "go to" calm down trick was lemon ginger tea or mint tea with lemon. And then lying down on my left side and breathing deep to calm down further. If I could fall into a short nap, I usually always felt better when I got up. Not a quick fix, but helped me to get…

Thanks for the info. Just ordered the nectar sample pack. Have not tried these yet.

Hi Jena, No dumping for me either, even though the threat of it was a good deterrent for a while since I do have a sweet tooth. Sweets are not what they used to be though, a few bites is enough, and the taste is different. If its not going to be "really good" its much easier to avoid! RNY was recommended to me as the best…

Hi Millie, I did a 2 hour car ride 1 week after my bypass without difficulty. I did not drive though. I was off the painkillers after 4 days so that wasn't an issue, just still got tired easily. Two weeks out you should be ok, but be sure to listen to your body and how tired you might be. Wishing you the best!

So good. I am so proud of you, and your goals that change with your progress. I have seen you move your focus from weight, to strength, to giving back. Which in fact circles around to your weight and your strength. Blessings to you!

A lot of little steps that have led to a milestone! Now a lot more little steps... New milestone ahead. Congratulations.

I do a blend... Bariatric Advantage for the Shakes (because can mix with hot or cold). And the Bariatric Advantage calcium citrate and vitamin D chews because they're individually wrapped and yummy (easy to toss in a pocket). I use Unjury for the Strawberry Splendor flavor... 100 cal for 20g protein, more refreshing than…

congrats on your surgery, your honesty, and your courage.

For the first few months after wls i had a hard time with plain water too (still not so great). It seems hot tea does way better, especially mint with lemon, or ginger/lemon. Cold needs some kind of flavor to it. Good luck!

Its a sunny Saturday in Chicago after a loooooong winter, no reason not to get outside and move all day!

I was about your size when mine came out. I was in the hospital overnight and off work 2 weeks. I was moving around pretty good at one week, but still napping each day. Treat yourself kindly, and let your body heal. Best wishes.
