I said this on my profile, but to update fellow 30DSers: So, I'm a little bummed. I haven't been able to workout since this past Saturday. I've been too busy with midterms to go to the gym, which would leave me with doing a quick half hour workout here at home, and that would normally be fine... however, there's…

I alternate between 3 and 5lbs. If I had 8lbs, I would use those for the chest fly's and back row's, also. Alas, I do not, lol.

Yeah, I too had a "rest" day yesterday. My boyfriend came to town for the first time since August, so we just spent time together. I would like to say I had a workout during the football game I took him to, though, haha. Standing for 4 hours straight (with only 5-10 minutes to sit during halftime), while yelling your guts…

Oi...I kept putting off working out until my headache subsided. Unfortunately, that time never came, and 7pm hit and if I waited any longer, well, my boyfriend (whom I haven't seen in 2.5 months and is finally visiting tonight for the weekend) would walk in on my working out and I could not have that, haha. So, I hit…

1. pretty sure I aced my anatomy/physiology lab practical this morning, so it's already the start to a great weekend 2. I'm having to wait for my downstairs neighbors to leave before I pop in 30DS. I like to think I'm a nice neighbor. I'm sure they'd be annoyed by my jumping jacks lol Glad to hear everyone's keepin' up!…

I went ahead and did day 5 even though I probably should have let my body rest since I got maybe 2 hours of sleep last night....oops. I kept up surprisingly well, though, lol.

So, I'm not sure what to do. I was up studying until 4am for a big midterm I have tomorrow morning...the coffee I had kept me from sleeping until 7am! Despite going to "bed" at 4...just tossed and turned and kept studying in my head no matter how hard I tried to stop, lol. But, because of the lack of sleep...I'm just…

I was reading through these replies and felt the need to vent lol. I started my first period when I was 9yrs old (scary lol). When I was 12, I had a bout of 3 months of near straight bleeding. Doc put me on orthotricyclin...weird to be on "the pill" at 12, but it fixed the problem. It also made me gain over 45 pounds in…

Thank you all! Joining this site sparked quite the motivational fire under my behind :)

I love love love spinning class! I usually do them 3 times a week. Sooo fun!

That's so awesome! Congratulations! I'm 5.7 pounds away...can't wait!

When you're using your own body weight, you don't need to necessarily rest a day in between like when using machines and heavier dumbbells. If you were circuit training through a gym and using like ~200lbs+ for legs, 20-40 for arms, etc...then you would need to rest. At least that's what my strength training instructor…

Day 4 in the books... I honestly don't know if I'd have the motivation to continue straight on like this if it weren't for the satisfaction I get of posting on here that I completed yet another day. Yay for MFP! :)

I hear a few people saying their calves are/were sore. My calves have yet to be sore...it's my thighs and butt! Lol I walk...or waddle, and I can feel every muscle I swear, haha.
-
I alternate 2 and 5 pound weights. I use the 2lbs for the lunges/biceps, side lunges and squats, and the 5lbs for the straight-back-row and chest fly. I could honestly probably do 8lbs in those 2, but I don't have any :(.

You can add more than the standard neck, waist and hips. I have like 15 measurements it monitors... lol You just have to add them yourself.
-
Day 3 finished and it was...awesome! after just 2 full workouts, in day 3 I was able to do almost all reps (not even going to lie, in day 1 and 2 there were definitely a few moves where I could not keep up), my form was much better (especially with those stupid side lunges...finally got the hang of them!) and my endurance…

I have a big midterm tonight at 8, and spent most of yesterday studying. I was sad that I couldn't get any extra mileage in (outside of normal every-day around campus stuff)...but you can bet I'm going to make up for it after my exam! I'm going straight from it to the gym for some much needed endorphins and…

I'm more sore than yesterday (L1D2), but for some crazy reason I'm about to hit play again...ha ha. Yay determination! Time to give day 3 a swift kick :)
-
You WOULD think that... but I find the later I work out, the longer it prolongs my insomnia, lol. Such is not the case for tonight, though...I have a midterm tomorrow :S I'm hitting the hay now, though :D Best luck to you, I have to get up fairly early, too. *shakes fist*

From what I learned as a fun fact in biochemistry, fructose affects blood glucose, yes...but it does not cause a sharp spike, nor a large fall. It has a low glycemic index (19) versus regular table sugar (65) and of course glucose (100). Of all sugars, I wouldn't overly fret about fruit. Watch where they sneak in those…
-
Not all do, but a lot of people don't count sugars from fruits and veggies. Don't be too hard on yourself! If you're staying away from refined sugars, go you!
-
Way to stick to it! Go you! :D

You look great! I know I can definitely see a difference. And by the way, you are beautiful! And I love your hair lol :)

I just finished day 2. I can't decide if it was slightly easier or harder than yesterday. Easier in I knew what to expect (moves/timing wise), harder in that I'm sore. Still feel like I'm shuffling like a penguin when I walk...brings a new meaning to erryday I'm shufflin', I guess, LOL. I really need to buy a HRM so I can…

Just weighed in. Entered it into the spreadsheet already.... 206.6! Every time I've stepped on the scale over the last 3 weeks it just keeps going down... I love it! Also.. just 1.6lbs to my first goal! EEK! So close :)
-
That is good to hear... I did day 1 yesterday (about to do day 2 in a few minutes), and at work this morning I felt like I was shuffling around like a penguin from my legs being sore LOL.

love'em all!

Remember, pain (not to be confused with discomfort) is your body's way of saying "Hey, something's wrong!"
-
That may be tough...the cardio portion consists of faux-jump roping, jumping jacks, bouncing "butt" kicks, etc. Can your ankle handle short bursts of impact? I'm still not sure if you should risk it... going to have to say consult your doctor :(
