  • I am 52. I gave up on the scale a long time ago. I work hard with my fitness and feel good about getting it done. Slowly the inches are melting but it has been a slow process. Feel free to add me. I should let you know that I don't get on much on the weekends but do check in every day with my friends if they post. Good…
  • "If u stop working out, the muscle returns to fat." WRONG! Muscle does not return to fat.
  • You can add me if you would like. Your can read my profile to see if you think we would be a good fit.
  • That's where i was January 22, 2013. Sounds weird i know, but it was that day that I made up my mind to make things happen. Nothing changes if nothing changes. You have to want it. You are in control of you!! Right?? Need a friend? Feel free to send a request.
  • I log pretty regularly and do some form of exercise 5 out of 7 days. I don't mind if you follow me.
  • I do. Looking for friends?
  • Need a friend? Feel free to add me. I have had an injury that set me back but I am trying hard to get off the last 10-15 pounds or so. Not sure what input you like to have but I do log on most every day and keep track of my good friends.
  • Need a friend to cheer you along? Feel free to add me.
  • Feel free to add me if you need another friend. I am 51, a mom to 3 and am an active member on this site.
  • I only log in one place. I have the fitbit one which clips on....not sure if I would like the inaccuracy of added hand movements counting as activity since I am a cook. I must say that if I compare the calories added back by the fitbit to my daily calorie total to the calories burned by my heart rate monitor for the same…
  • I am pretty sure it is giving you your daily calorie burn....just for living and breathing- not just for when you exercise. It will give you your TOTAL daily calorie burn at the end of your day which should be close to 1500-1800 if you have done your 10,000 steps for example . You will only "earn" calories that you can eat…
  • Yep, I am one of those. Read my profile and see if we are a good match.
  • I love to hear about other women loving lifting as much as I do! Feeling and looking strong is very rewarding although I must admit that I love when I am able to pair it with some good endurance through cardio work as well.
  • Sent a request your way.

  • When was the battery changed? I wonder if that would make a difference. I have the same one and have not had any problems. A friend of mine has one and her numbers are off like yours.....I would love to know if it is a simple fix or a manufacturer's repair....what a pain either way tho.
  • Hi! Welcome. A good friends list is SO helpful I think. Many of my friends have been with me since day 1.....read profiles and see who might be a good match. Some may be in the same boat with similar goals and challenges and others may be an inspiration for you. You can read my profile and see if I could be a good fit for…
  • Not everyone likes the look of muscles on a women. I have gotten...."I like to be toned but I don't want to look like THAT". To each their own I guess. Strong is the new skinny so they say :)
  • Love the example provided above. There are many people at my gym as well who are using the equipment incorrectly. It bothers me even more that the gym staff members are not helping people out that are at risk for injury. I think most people are receptive if approached in a nice manner. Go for it, good luck!
  • For me, it wasn't just looking at the calorie deficit but making sure the calories that I ate hit my macros. If I ate ate the desired calories but didn't hit 40-30-30- my weight loss didn't happen. And on days with lots of exercise I ate over my calorie allotment here and there throughout the process. Many people I see…
  • I was NEVER a runner however, I started running for the challenge of it all a few years back. I certainly didn't have the desire to run a 10K but working towards running a 5K was an appropriate goal to set in my opinion. I started off slowly with the C25K program with a friend which I found very helpful for the first few…
  • Hi! I would be happy to motivate and support you in your work towards health. Send me a request after you read my profile if you would like.
  • The desire to change must be greater than the desire to change! That is something that I keep in mind every day. You have to find your reason so want to lose weight, embrace it, and remind yourself every time you reach for unhealthy choices. You can still eat things like carrots, roasted chick peas, hot air popped corn etc…
  • If you are looking for a few new friends, feel free to add me. My profile will tell you a bit about me so you can decide if we are a good match. Your success is in your hands. You can do it!!
  • I am 50 something and have almost reached my goal. I am looking for a few new friends that are in it to win it! Feel free to add me if you would like.

  • I took a body pump class a few years ago and we used those bars. They were uses for many reps at low weight for more of a cardio workout. And as far as a women's gym goes, there are some women who feel more comfortable without guys around while they are exercising. Plus, the women's gym at Golds has smaller machines for…
  • I guess it would depend on if this is your only exercise that you do for your obliques. I think they are fine to do as part of your routine but certainly add others that will work that area a bit differently too, like side planks for example.
  • Didn't read all the responses but just in case someone didn't mention it, your salt intake over the past few days will play a big part in what you see on the scale due to water weight gain. Also, if you have eaten a big meal- even if it is low in calories- and it hasn't "processed" (so to speak), that will increase your…
