I really cut back on the amount of tv I watch, its also helped my cravings, If I brush my teeth then I won't eat either lol. I do try to leave a few cals for the end of the day though.

Joined mine because of the price, $10 a month, and the location, less than 5 min from my house and I can bike there in nicer weather. Stayed because I've made friends, love some of my instructors and have a good routine going there that fits my schedule

it is so easy to have improper form and either injure yourself or not be getting the benefits from the poses. I practice at home but I also go to the studio 3 days a week, I still get adjustments every now and again for what seem like really simple poses like down dog. You are always learning and different teachers also…

look for the fit bit group on MFP, they have a couple of sticky threads there that answer a lot of the basic fit bit and MFP questions.

I love my fit bit flex but it is rubbish for counting non step activities like yoga, biking, swimming etc...

I honestly have no clue what I weighed in high school. My parents did not believe I should know, we never even owned a scale and I don't think I ever bothered to check my weight.

my hubby and I coach football. We have one coach who is horrible for using it as a punishment for dropped passes, missed tackles etc. We will not punish mistakes with physical activity. I've seen kids want to quit because of it. At the start of every practice though there is a conditioning series we do. Everyone does it,…

nope just a regular taxi, the drivers apply to have the school runs and are often awesome and love kids. The drives are so short they can do a few runs for a few schools in the area. We had a company van at one point but the insurance was horrible and the gas and the repairs and if it broke down then we were really stuck.…

I work in daycare, all our taxi companies do this. You can set up an account with them to pay monthly and they send the same driver every day to pick up 3 or 4 kids from the school and take them to the daycare or from the daycare to the school. It was reasonably priced too when shared with a few families.

never thought I'd be able to nail crow pose or any kind of head or handstand, I still fall out of crow and its not as pretty as it could be but I can do it and headstands too, still need a wall for handstands, tried once fell hard and now get nervous. :)

I just finished a 10 week yogalaties class, half power yoga half pilates. And if you have lower back issues there is a lot of rocking on the lower back, I don't have lower back issues so the yoga part was fine for me but there were pilates moves I found very uncomfortable even with doubling up my mat. It is so hard to nail…

I did the 108 sun salutations today and boy I can tell you I'm beat tonight and going to be sore tomorrow. Yoga is the one exercise I really enjoy and do regularly. I have now hit my goal weight and am loving my yoga body. And since on maintenance calories my body is still getting better with yoga.

there is a free 108 at a studio near me I'm going to give it a try :) I think I can make it through them all.

Coldest I can remember. Block that from my memory, there have been some hard winters up here. This year the coldest day was -42*F in my home town in northern ontario canada. A few hours north of my home town there is still snow on the ground and the lakes are still frozen.

I've been doing really good. I'm up to 5 regular classes a week and some home practice on the side. I have never felt better.

I actually had the energy to get up and move and make proper meals so I lost weight. But Lordy the night sweats are nothing to joke about. Was glad when that side effect went away. It was horrible.

most gyms give you an orientation. I had an hour with a personal trainer to show me around and I could get him to show me how to use equipment I was unfamiliar with.

I never deleted you you were one of my first Mfp friends :). Glad to see you back though!

Handstands I need a wall for sure head stands though I'm already starting to get it. I have the wall there but try not to use it. I need to touch to correct balance. My headbands all the weight is on my forearms so no pain on the neck at all.

So not spaghetti at all I treat it like squash too. I like to bake it a second time with butter garlic and parm until it gets all brown and crispy on top

I do them often but mostly because I find them fun :) ey do feel good but I would take the "cure" part with a grain of salt :)

I have the boob issue! I have to strap those bad boys down. A good sports bra is your friend or you suffocate :) For the nausea/dizziness there could be a few reasons. Sometimes you are hungry or dehydrated, have a snack an hour before class. Do you have low blood pressure? that can do it too. Transitioning between poses…

Full of mystery and intrigue :) and so exotic!

I struggle too with looking at yoga as an internal journey. I get excited when I can finally nail a hard pose. At first I was in competition mode. I wanted to go deeper bend further hold longer than the person on the mat beside me. I've outgrown that part of me but I still compete with myself. The way I see it as you get…
