Great job! You sound just like me, I will be 57 on Friday. Last year I lost 57 pounds by reducing my calorie intake and walking 7 to 8 km a day. This year I am learning yoga, weights, and aerobics, I love them all. If I had started off with all of it as my goal I would have given up because it was too much. I make small…

Yep, control your calories in and you lose weight.

I have silence from my husband instead of a rude comment. I have lost 57 pounds and he has only commented once when I had lost around 30 pounds. My daughter told him to say something because I was pissed he had not said anything at all. So he asked me how much I had lost and said keep it up. He has about 100 pounds to lose…

I like to make kale chips by taking out the thick stems and spray with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and bake for 10-15 mins. at 325. Yummy to snack on and very low calorie.

We add the sugar free Toscani syrups to Greek yogurt.

I cut them up and put them on a cookie sheet. I then spray them with olive oil spray lightly and salt them. Then I bake at 350 until done. I do Kale chips the same way but I use a 300 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes.

Hi, I will be 57 in a month. I joined MFP a year ago and am very glad that I did, I also use Runkeeper to track my walks. I am in much better than I was a year ago and I hope to keep improving. I would still like to lose 10 more pounds and build muscle back up as well. It always helps to have a friend.

I made this soup last night, it was easy, good and very filling. It has 23.9 g of protein per serving. http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/bean-sage-sausage-soup-50400000133652/

I am very sorry for your loss and for the family's loss as well. This will never go away for them but it will get better, eventually. Two years ago I and my family lost everything in the wild fires here in Reno, we got out but lost pets and had only what we were wearing. It is hard not to cry as I type this 2 years later.…

I have always made my gravy by using chicken broth, 1 tbls of better than bullion chicken and a cup of sour cream and everyone loves it. I am sure you can use Greek yogurt instead of the sour cream. the calorie count would depend on how much gravy you use.

Cassava Root/Yucca Root does need to be boiled until it is soft this insures that it is safe to eat. You should pour out the boiling water. It does contain Cyanide but once you boil it it is perfectly safe to eat and delicious. We like to fry it in a little olive oil and salt it. Absolutely yummy!

It is delicious! You cut it in half and scoop out the seeds like a pumpkin. Then bake it for about 40 minutes at 400, you can microwave it too but I don't. Then take a fork and scrape the insides out and it will be like spaghetti. Then anything you use spaghetti for you can use the squash and it is much lower calorie and…
