Hi everyone - Glasgow here! I'm 38lbs down, with about another 14lbs to go. Treating myself far too often these days and don't seem to have the discipline I used to when I had a bridesmaid dress staring at me last year! I'm a clean-eater's worst nightmare, but if you can cope with that and some typical Scottish banter,…

Thanks for that. Cycling definitely out - that is one of the movements that's causing pain. I'm just going to be sensible and rest until my body tells me it's better. Once that happens, I'll start with walking again and gradually work back up to normal. Thanks for the reply!

I avoided exercise for a lot of years, so I started with just plain old walking. It's amazing how quickly you find your pace getting faster and you're able to walk for longer and longer each time. I downloaded Map My Fitness onto my iPhone and it tracks your walk route, pace and calories burned and links it straight in…

Hello! Send me a request if you like. I'm in Glasgow - 5ft 3in, 32 years old, started last year and I've lost just under 40lb. I'm a clean eater's worst nightmare, but if that doesn't bother you, add away!
-
Hi and welcome! Feel free to add me - lost about 30lb so far, with another 20 to go I reckon. You've done amazingly well so far...keep it up!
-
Hi, feel free to add me too! I'm 32, from Glasgow and have about another 20lb to lose. I still have a million bad habits and I'll probably never change my 'snacking' ways, but I'm trying to balance out my Monday to Friday desk job and hectic life with some exercise and fewer cakes. Always happy to encourage, nag and…

Hi, welcome to MFP. Feel free to add me if you like. I'm 32, from Glasgow and I've got about another 20b to lose. The support (and the friendly nagging!) of your fiends on here really helps keep you going. Good luck with it all!

Hi there, feel free to add. I'm definitely NOT a clean eater, but add me anyway if I can help with the motivation. Just turn a blind eye to the G&Ts and chocolate cravings!

Glasgow here...feel free to add everyone!

I don't have a HRM and had the sam problem with how to log it. I trawled the internet and found a link where people had worked it out. I (unhelpfully) can't remember the link, but I'm 5ft 4in and 168lb and I log it as 210 calls for the 20 min workout.

Hi there, Glasgow here. Feel free to add me too people. I've got a lot more than 7lb to lose, but always happy to motivate and be supportive. I've sent you a request.

Well done on the job, I'm sure you'll do really well. I work in an office environment and I'm desk based all day. I tend to make a big pot of homemade veggie soup on Sunday night and have that for my lunch for a few days (I've got use of a fridge and microwave in work). Breakfast is porridge and a banana (once I get into…

This is normally how my week pattern goes too. I exercise 4 times a week, so am always under on those days. I eat bigger/treat meals at the weekends, but I always make sure I don't go over my weekly target (I'm on 1350 calories a day plus exercise cals). I'm certainly no expert, so I don't know if the science behind this…

Friend request sent. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies, chaps. Lots to work on here. I have Jamie's 30 minute meals at home, but some of them are quite high in cals. I'll be trawling the sites you've recommended and doing lots of experimenting! Time for trial and error...hopefully I won't poison us!

Ooooh, I'm loving the skinnytastes website, thanks!

Thanks guys, much appreciated. I'll turn myself into Nigella yet!

Hey there, add send. I'm 31 from Glasgow and on L1D4 of the 30DS. Lost 12lb since I started on the site, still got a looooong way to go. Not a veggie, but just don't eat a lot of meat through choice, so hopefully you can inspire me with your diary!

I bought the DVD based on the reviews on here. Started it on Saturday and I've done 2 days of level 1 so far and it's certainly a work out! Everyone is busy these days, so 30 mins is perfect to fit in with most people's lifestyle. I'm doing Body Combat and Body Attack once each a week too, so I won't be doing the DVD on…

The DVD arrived yesterday, so this morning was L1D1. My strength isn't tooooooo bad, but my cardio is pretty shocking. I definitely felt like I'd had a workout when I was finished...sweat was lashing! I'm determined to see this one through. Hope the reviews I've read keep me motivated! Good luck to all the other 30DS-ers…

I ordered the 30DS yesterday..hoping it'll be here tomorrow. Planning on doing it 5 days a week (on the other 2 days, I go to a Body Combat class and a Body Attack class). I hope that won't affect the results too much. Getting excited, I've heard good things about it. Still scary though, but the holiday countdown is ON!
