there is no advantage to either the only thing that matters is your net calories p/day. I prefer 3 meals because thats what works for me however some may eat fewer and some more. It all comes down to portion size and again your net.

starvation mode is a none thing it doesnt exist. dont eat under 1200 because u cannot obtain proper nutrition. your body does not defy science to keep you from dying when under 1200 cals any nutritionist can tell you that.

i find that eating a small 400 calorie meal before i do exercise like the gym or cardio helps give me the energy to do the activity. U might want to eat mostly protein if you are doing an activity that is to build muscle however if it is simply cardio eat an average meal of whatever you fancy.

if you are "planning" to eat a diet where you will lose about 1.5 - 2 pounds per week then a weight loss "plateau" will not ever happen. Your metabolism does not decay by more than a few calories (10-100) based upon your weight loss and losing muscle is the only thing tht will really trigger this. Their is no starvation…
