When I was first working on kicking the sugar habit, I bought the junk food for my boyfriend. That allowed me to buy things that I didn't like but he would eat.

It's already made a huge difference. My abdomen was burning between every meal because I wasn't feeding it. Today I have not had the burning discomfort in between meals. In fact, I think it's making me eat less at a time. This morning, I was full after 1-1/2 egg muffins (not eggMcMuffins - just little individual "muffins"…

After doing more research, I emailed my doctor this afternoon and told him what Dr. Google said it could be - excess stomach acid not draining, and how it made sense if eating helped to ease it. He said I could be on to something, and sent in a prescription for Protonix to take once a day for a week or two to see if it…

I started to write index cards, and that might still work for me. But I have a composition book that I've used for notes. I made copies of the charts that we are supposed to fill out and taped them inside the composition book. I think that when I am done with typing up all my response cards and lists, that I will print…

"Hunger is not an emergency". Although I'm not through the book yet :)

If it helps, I started typing up "Response Cards" and notes. My thought was to print them out and tape them to index cards. I didn't type up all the ST/HR, or all notes - just ones that were key for me. I have it in my google docs - any of you with this link can view them:…

I am in the midst of reading the book right now. I am at the part where it tells me to get a coach. I could use some accountability buddies!

I've been interested since I first saw some discussions on them a few months ago. I could see this being much less of an impact for running, making it a better chance that I would try it. To me, it reminds me of the blade limbs for running that amputees use. $250 sounds like a lot, but I know people who spend at least $100…

At a pilates class, there was a woman who said she'd never been able to do a situp, but when she was given a yoga block to put under her head, it made a huge difference. That said, there are lots of abdominal exercises that aren't situps or lying prone crunches. You can even do standing crunches.

A lot of the programs have recovery weeks, whether in between phases or at the end of the round. I think I've seen suggestions of one or two weeks as recovery weeks - you may do light cardio/stretching/yoga. I will go back to some of my favorite workouts for a couple weeks or a month before starting a new round or program…

Mostly, this was a fantasy imagining of death race 2000. But in seriousness, it's more of a have it sticking out and let go just before she hits kind of thing. But of course, the driver is either a psycho or someone who will kill someone one day with her distracted driving. If psycho, then she is likely to do something to…

I felt I did. I can't say it's all from that particular workout series, but I started out with a fairly flat butt, and now mine is curvier. I am happy with it. I will go back to it for a few weeks from time to time. I use TurboFire for the cardio workouts, and use BBL High & Tight, Sculpt, and Tummy Tuck on the other days.

Pretty much what I was going to say. Have something large and sharp that sticks over just to the white line (so you're not breaking any laws) and if she gets that close again, her car will feel it. It might scare the crap out of her enough to make sure that she pays attention at least for a while.

My only problem with the drops is that all of them contain sodium benzoate, which is a sensitivity of mine. There is one brand of flavored/carbonated water that I've found that is free of it: SyFo. When I want something more than just plain water, that's what I go for.

I would use frozen berries and stir until the juice had saturated the yogurt (which sweetens and flavors it) and it was the consistency of ice cream. It was convincing enough that a co-worker demanded to know where I found ice cream one time.

I think it was a bit of advice from a Denise Austin DVD years ago, but try to keep your abdominal muscles contracted (contract your core) when doing any exercises, not just core/abdominal. Here's a bit more on it: http://www.livestrong.com/article/424203-how-to-contract-your-abs-when-exercising/

Just finished the first week of T25. I went through it before when it first came out. I am following my calorie intake much more closely this go around.

A skin test can help with some sensitivity testing, but not others. I am not referring to processing like typical processed foods, I am talking about anything that can change the food in question. I have a sensitivity to certain foods raw. If the skin test uses raw foods then it may help determine the sensitivity, but…

I was very frustrated with my visit to the allergist. There is apparently a blood test you can take for food sensitivities, and I don't see how the standard skin pricks would help me, since processing the food tends to help. I wish the allergist had suggested the elimination diet, but I had to stumble across an article a…

Are the almonds you eat always cooked the same? I can eat roasted almonds, but raw almonds cause sharp abdominal pain. Foods that I can eat cooked but not raw include: onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, and almonds. Others that I can't eat at all include: peppers, watermelon, and other types of melons. While I do not have any…

Try using either those puzzle mats or a thick mat like a manduka mat. The sets that are used in filming the beachbody workouts tend to have special floors or mats that help to absorb the impact of jumping. I use a manduka mat (for space reasons, because I've seen some great puzzle mats at Play it Again Sports) and it made…

I have discovered a dairy sensitivity. I bought some dairy-free yogurt to try, but have not done so yet. I have heard good things about the flavored ones, but then I realized how much sugar they have, so I picked the plain. What I always did with regular greek yogurt was to mix frozen berries with the yogurt, and it…

Oh, another thing is that once you find what works, then look for sales on that model number. Last shoes I bought, Shoe Station had a really excellent semi-annual sale, and I bought 3 pairs for like 75% off.

One thing I recommend is that you do a bit of what you would do in your workout while wearing the shoes in the store. I don't care how silly it is. I know I do a lot of plyo work, so I will jump up and down and make sure that they cushion my feet enough. I also had problems doing stationary lunges in one style of workout…

I have only had pleurisy as a result of pneumonia (knock on wood), and I have since had a pneumonia vaccine, so hoping it won't come back. Both times, I went to the doctor because of the chest pain while coughing, only to find it was pneumonia. They don't like giving prednisone, but mine did not go away with the NSAIDs, so…

Did you take prednesone for it? I had to both times that I had pleurisy. I hate it, but it's the only thing that helped with the inflammation. It took a few days for the pain to stop hurting so bad, and then prednisone takes forever to wean off. So figure 2 weeks from the start of taking it.

Temporomandibular joint and muscle disorders (TMJ disorders) are problems or symptoms of the chewing muscles and joints that connect your lower jaw to your skull. It's why I gave up chewing gum several years ago. I don't miss it at all.

I was drinking a can of diet cherry 7Up a day. When I went on an elimination diet in May, soda was one of the things to give up during the diet. After a couple weeks, I decided that I had already gone that long without it, it was time to kick the habit. During the challenge phase of the diet, I had to test benzoates, and…

I didn't lose any weight with Insanity. I love Shaun T, but I spent the entire time with a perpetually sore left knee and right shoulder. My diet may not have been perfect, but I had lost weight with TurboFire before doing Insanity. To me, Insanity is more about building up strength and endurance than it is about weight…

This is the one I have (if the link works), so you'll want to look for it. If you're getting it on amazon, you probably want to be sure you're getting it from beachbody itself on there. They do have a money-back guarantee if you get it from them.…
