Help with tummy excersises

Hi guys, i'm slowly losing the weight, but I don't know the best way to get rid of the fatty bit above my belly button, it's always been there a little bit even when I was skinny.
I can't do excersise that involves jumping of my feet off the ground, i've had a stroke and my balance is poor. I have a hula hoop and a kettlebell but I was just hoping someone could tell me the best way to get rid of that nasty flabby bit

Thanks for any replies.

    #1 Great greyhound :)

#2 As ArgyllWolf wrote you can't spot reduce but you can work on your core (abdominal) muscles. Planks are really good for this and, bonus, no jumping. In fact, even if you fall while doing them, you're only going to fall about 6 inches since you are already down on the floor to start with. Here's a site that shows plank progressions. Just start with the first one and once you can hold it for 30-60 seconds, start working on the next.

I think it was a bit of advice from a Denise Austin DVD years ago, but try to keep your abdominal muscles contracted (contract your core) when doing any exercises, not just core/abdominal. Here's a bit more on it:
