.. Thank you! (To everyone of course, lots of help I appreciate!) I absolutely need to get myself a heart rate monitor. I have always been told Zumba burned 800-1000 cals based on someone weighing 150lbs. I am an instructor so I am always going full force and sweating like crazy so I assume (which we all know what happens…

Thank you for the reply and advice! I appreciate it :) I do have a food scale but I will be honest I don't use it much! I will have to look into changing that. I have food it hard to eat more than what I have been. I feel a lil "piggish", for lack of a better term, when I do. Thank you again!!

Thank you! Very much appreciated :) I'm not diabetic so I am definitely going to go and figure out how to change my macros. I do find I get most my sugar from fruit or other natural sources. Thank you again!

I LOVE grapes! Eat them often as well. I was just blown away by the amount in the raisins! I figure I will probably just add raisins to salads or cereal (I love raisin bran but there is too much sugar added :( ) so it's not a snack but part of a meal and I'll still get the nutrition.

I became a licensed Zumba Instructor a little over a year ago. I am a dance teacher (jazz, tap, ballet etc.), so it fit into what I already have a passion for. In all honesty I did it because my employer needed someone and I had always enjoyed taking Zumba. I was licensed during a large fitness convention in Hyannis, MA.…

I'm currently using Vitamin Shoppe's Bodytech Whey Tech protein in Vanilla. I know that sounds a little bland but for what it is it's pretty decent tasting (kinda like Vanilla bean). Mixed with water it's 90 cal, 17g of protein. I like to add a half of a scoop to my greek yogurt smoothies.

I teach Zumba 3 times a week and agree with everyone here. I have done everything from eating just a granola bar to having a full meal before class. When I do eat heavier, I feel sluggish and feel (for lack of a better term) lunch coming back up. I know it's hard because sometimes classes are over at 7/8pm, sometimes later…

I teach Zumba. All ages, all sizes, all levels! If you find a great instructor than they will make you feel comfortable and show you modifications if you need them. Beginners are always welcome! Zumba is meant to be easy to follow. It's also repetitive so by the end of the song you have a gist of what's going on. It's…

Have you tried Zumba Gold? It's a modified, slower paced workout for people who have some limitations (older age, old injuries etc. ) You still get to have the fun but don't have to feel the pressure to keep up.

I think it's how it's done not that it is being done. Kind of like the old "It's not what you say, it's how you say it". I'm a Zumba instructor. I teach in a dance studio so it's a bit different than the gym atmosphere, my opinions may differ a tad if I taught at a gym. I have had people come in late. I've never had…

I will say that like with anything else, once you get to a certain level of fitness you do need to change things up and add to your work out. Zumba isn't the only thing I do. Aside from Zumba, it's Ballet and Tap classes and I teach hip hop and Jazz. Dancers are true athletes, some of the strongest men and women I know.…

I found that the store that does fittings near me DOES carry Enell. I did look online for Moving comfort, they should be at my local ****'s Sporting Goods...I will check out Panache as well! Thanks everyone!!

This is definitely true as well! (and good to hear! :)) You really do need to find a class that is right for you. I always say that when looking for ANY type of class that you should be sure your instructor is licensed or certified. With Zumba you want to be sure your instructor is a ZIN member or at the very least an…

Loving everyone's responses and it's so great to hear so many men loving it! As for the "girlish" moves...they aren't girlish, they are mostly latin :) as a few previous posters have said...women LOVE a man who can dance and at the very least love a man who doesn't care what he looks like. I'd say 90% of my students come…

This is true!!! Awesome!!!

This is wonderful to hear!! I'm incredibly happy that you found something that you love and has made you healthier! Welcome to the instructor club! Love it!! COMPLETELY understanding that trying something new isn't easy and that most guys are looking just to get bulk...Zumba is a COMPLETE workout. Everyone needs a bit of…

Feel free to add me! I'm on here most days and love having the support as well! My BF is supportive and will try anything I cook for him, and it works most of the time, lol. We split chores and all that (he knew when I moved in, I hate the dishes and I know he hates the bathrooms!) But he too would rather sit on the couch…

I'm going to have to research where I can get fitted for a sports bra in my area. There is a store in the next city over that does bras, I will have to try there. My concern is purchasing online too. I'm definitely going to have to research which brands are sold near me. Wearing two bras is just so uncomfortable! lol…

These are all awesome!! Thank you!! We came to the decision of using the ground beef when we are making burgers on the grill & using ground turkey for pastas, enchiladas etc...but I might need to try some of these suggestions! lol. My guy tends to make his burgers thick, and uses minced garlic and onion and Worcestershire…

I would love to try Bokwa but I went on their website and there doesn't seem to be a class within 50 miles of me :(

It's definitely the mind set of "Don't Waste That!" I also fall victim to his sister, "Finish your plate, there are starving children out there!"

This probably does come up more if you're a parent, but I am not a mom (yet!) and have this same issue. If I am cooking, I'll pop that extra slice of tomato or cheese into my mouth without even thinking about it. Both my boyfriend and I have a habit of giving each other the "little extra" left over or "just a taste".…

Thanks a bunch! I appreciate all the feedback! I will def look into the brands mentioned here! xo

Love all this! Thank you!

I love taters too! lol

Thanks!!!

Thanks everyone! I'd say the carbs are probably what would make me give them up. At least on my day off from exercise. I eat them in the car all the time lol, guess I don't pay attention to the creeps! Let em stare! lol!

Maybe, you could change up your workout during your period? I know I feel sooooo much better after I workout, even if I get tired sooner after than I normally would. If there is nothing underlying that could cause severe pain or issues I say just suck it up, lol. I dance and do Zumba. I find that makes me feel better than…

I've never done bodypump...is that a class with weights? I love the class atmosphere so if I can find a class that fits my schedule I'm in! lol. It's definitely more weights I need...I burn a ridiculous amount of calories with Zumba and my dance classes. It also seems I'm not eating enough on the days I work out, but it's…

80s and 90s pop and hip hop...anything with a great beat honestly...big band music! And don't laugh but Britney Spears' Greatest Hits: My Prerogative is a great treadmill or elliptical cd!
