Hey-o! Add me.

Is that good for your liver, kidneys, and pancreas?
-
By itself, no, it's not bad. Pay attention to how it influences your other habits. I find when drinking diet soda I crave more salty/sweet/fatty foods.

Well good for Canada. However, dairy cows are continuously impregnated for their milk anyways. The later in the term the cow is, the more female sex hormones she has in her body. The calf is taken away from the mother after birth and either raised on a sugary formula and raised as a dairy or beef cow or sent to the…

Roasted spiced chickpeas are an awesome snack and salad topper.

Doesn't milk have a lot of estrogen in it though?
-
Added. I'm a vegetarian who eats very little milk and eggs. Are you going to open your diary too?
-
Add me, I'm transitioning into veganism from vegetarianism.

Nothing, I trained myself to drink black coffee. I have always drank a lot of coffee and I used go through a pound of sugar in 2 weeks just from my coffee habit. I started getting worried about the effect of ingesting all this sugar in my mid-20's. I decided I had to give up the coffee or the sugar, so I gave up the sugar.

Tofu is awesome! I love it just pressed well and pan fried with salt and pepper! It's also fantastic in stir-fries, I need to try that recipe.

I love that website. I made her Mediterranean sweet potatoes this weekend, they were awesome.

Not really. I've known of it's existence and idly thought about trying it out before, just never got around to it. I swear I eat more than 5 foods and they're not all beige.
-
It does.

It's not for health reasons. I appreciate the thought but I have strong feelings against the dairy industry and their practices. That being said I'm missing something that was never very good for me anyways (cheese) and am discovering new foods in the process, so win win. However, I will concede that omni diets can be…

I found a somewhat relevant YouTube clip: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FTZ6Ud3EME0

Fellow carbivore here. What helped me when I was losing was to cut out white rice, bread, pasta and most processed food (mainly to avoid refined carbs). I replaced that with brown rice, beans, oatmeal, nuts and seeds. So essentially I cut out most simple carbs, which quickly spike your blood sugar and make you hungry…

Minimalist Baker has fantastic simple, real food vegan recipes. I've made her vegan creamy garlicky pasta and Mediterrean sweet potatoes, both were simple, cheap, and delicious. http://minimalistbaker.com/

That's the second time I've seen that name today, I'll check it out....

I'm crushing on simple pan fried tofu right now. If you don't want to fry it you could bake it instead but I prefer the texture of pan fried. I made some tonight then warmed it in barbecue sauce in the same pan. http://www.food.com/recipe/the-best-pan-fried-tofu-271647

I've seen that in many a blog post, just haven't gotten around to making a cashew cheeze yet. But soon! And now I kinda don't want to BECAUSE HUMMUS. I might have a problem....

Hi, everyone! I'm Amber and I run for many reasons, but mainly to help cope with my on again/off again depression. It's not a magic cure but running has led to other lifestyle changes that have helped to even me out. In the past three months I've quit energy drinks, then sodas, then started getting more serious about…

I'll be finishing up my Zombies, Run! 5k training plan right before my 5k run on July 11th. After that it's going to be all about that base, about that base.... (building up my fitness base, that is).
-
The zombie thing works. Am currently on Week 5 of Zombies, Run! 5k. Run SLOW.

Sorry to hear about y'alls knees.

I only go to the movies once or twice a year, but if I eat popcorn I EAT THE WHOLE DAMN TUB. I am incapable of ordering a "normal" sized TUB because the frugal part of my brain says "what a rip off!" Dumb, I know. So I stick to pickles. They are ridiculously high in sodium but low in calories and satisfy my junk food…

This is my favorite.

Goddamit Shia.

If you're tired of starting over, stop giving up!

5dollardinners.com is a great website that I use often. Her kids have dairy and gluten allergies so the recipes are usually healthy as well as cheap.

At one time I could eat 8 chili cheese hotdogs (one of my favorite foods) and still have room for more. Yesterday I restrained myself and only had one and savored it.
