  • Can you share some with me? lol What are you on? I'm thinking it might be time to consider getting on some Lexapro or similar anti-depressant.
  • I agree and will try both ways. THANKS!!! :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks all. I really appreciate the ideas and will genuinely consider each one.
  • That's awesome! Congrats!!
  • Awesome! Pictures don't lie that is for sure! I saw pics of me from last Christmas compared to this one (a 30 lb. difference) and was so happy! Your hard work has paid off! Congrats and keep up the good work!
  • That is an excellent question, but I would have to agree that common sense says to log whatever it weighs AFTER it is cooked, since that is the amount that is going into your body anyway. I'm curious to see what others respond with on this question. Good luck!
  • Well, I am here to report that day 2 of the Hypnosis, and I really find it to be working! I am going to keep it up! I find myself second guessing my hunger level when I "think" I am hungry, I really use his hunger scale to determine my actual level of hunger. Its great! Its amazing what our subconscious minds are capable…
  • Maybe I could be losing much more weight, at a faster pace, but I eat the 97% fat free turkey all of the time. I eat the thinly shaved varieties, and at only 50 - 70 calories per oz. or 2, you can't beat it! I personally don't care about sodium intake at this point. I am losing weight by purely counting calories, no matter…

  • These are his 4 GOLDEN RULES: (sounds simple enough) 1. When you are hungry, eat. 2. Eat what you want (not what you think you "should".) 3. Eat consciously and enjoy every mouthful. 4. When you are full stop. No one has tried this?? Please give me some feedback! Found some reviews on Amazon, and they were all pretty good,…
  • Thanks all! I love the gum, and brushing your teeth ideas! Very true that when you have a clean mouth, you usually tend to want to keep it that way. I also used to drink hot herbal teas in the winter with a little splenda, and that used to do the trick at night, but its summer and again, VERY HOT where I live, so I think…
  • I have small children though, and although they eat pretty healthy meals and snacks, its not only more economical, but easy to give them pre-packaged goodies, especially during the summer months. Besides the popcorn is the 100 calorie packs, and chex mix is cereal and pretzels! The chips will have to go though (even though…
  • Thanks, I suppose that is true, but I am a busy mom of 3 little ones, so I tend to do my workouts in the morning, when I have the most energy. Plus, I live in South TX, right on the Gulf, so I deal with heat indexes of 110 with 100% humidity daily. I either jog, walk, or workout in my garage (I have my own little home gym…
  • I had that for lunch today too! Sooo good! It has bits of apple, so it has many flavors going on, and a 6" on wheat for 370 calories, not too shabby.
  • It works though! Maybe it would help to log as you eat. That is what I do, and it actually helps me second guess what I put into my mouth next and keeps me on track.
  • You are not alone! You will have good days and bad ones. I have lost 25 lbs and have recently gained one pound back, after vacation and very unhealthy eating. I am beating myself up about the ONE pound, mainly because the fried foods I ate made me feel even fatter and more bloated. Its ok! The obsessing WILL slow down,…
  • Awww. Thanks Becca. So true. I know I am being a bit hard on myself, but TOM has always been my excuse to not lose weight in the past, and I feel like mother nature wins again. I wish someone would make a magic pill to help us fight our cravings during these hormonal times. I should and will use the portion control method…
  • Glad I am not alone on this! I did horribly today and just posted a TOM post also! LOL I am going to try drinking tea, but somehow I bet that idea will get thrown out the window and instead I will hear little voices calling me to the doritos, bean dip and chocolate!
  • My new favorite is Joseph's Heart Friendly Pitas. I discovered them at the deli counter of Walmart. They are only 60 calories and made with Oat Bran and Stone Ground Whole Wheat Flour. They are supposed to help with lowering cholesterol, taste great, and are very filling. I spread a little wedge of Light Laughing Cow…
  • Wow! You stole the thoughts right out of my head. I too, have been slipping up and eating more calories than I should, and my weight loss has tremendously slowed. I haven't gained, but I am still 9 lbs. away from reaching my April 1st goal. I decided to "buckle down" this week and get back on track and I lost a full pound…
  • Good luck!
  • I would just drink plenty of water before going to her place, then only eat small amounts of her cooking. Maybe she will have some sort of side like veggies or salad that you can eat more of? Good luck!
  • Chew gum or a hot cup of tea with splenda... an apple, V8, or cereal is ok with moderation... something with protein and fiber to keep you full. Also, DRINK WATER! It seriously keeps you full. I find when I get the munchies, I usually haven't been drinking my water.
  • I just tried them last week too. They are very filling and so easy to make. I highly recommend them as well, especially when you are tired of eating oatmeal, toast or cereal every morning for breakfast. Makes for a nice change and satisfies a sweet-tooth as well!
  • Thank you for tooting! lol That is such an accomplishment. I can only imagine how you must feel.... Fabulous! Its people like you that keep the rest of us motivated!
  • I agree. They are the BEST ever invention. lol
  • My dad actually works in Australia and says the locals don't drink Foster's at all, nor is it heavily advertised where he is at.
  • I used to binge drink once a week... way more than you! (not proud of it, but I can relate to you). I switched from beer to ONE glass of wine, maybe two... if its champagne OR I order diet soda with rum or vodka, vodka tonic or even sugar free redbull with vodka. Maybe you could find an alternative low-calorie beer, if…
  • That is so awesome! Keep it up!!
  • Its too cold to run outside, so I have been doing the elliptical and setting it up in front of the TV in my bedroom. I watch all of my DVRed shows at night, and when one show is over... I know I have done one hour. When I do walk/jog (I'm not up to running just yet) I do find it helps also to have a "workout jam" on my…
