She's just pissed off as she wanted you to be in the same group she is, plus she is worried that you're going to lose more weight than her! This should serve as a brilliant push to beat her in the weight-loss stakes! ;0)

I've dropped my calorie limit and I'm consistently losing. I'm doing 1100 calories a day - I keep reading people saying that this is too low. well I'm only 4ft 11! I think that calorie limit is right for me, and if I'm losing, it must be OK right?! Bring down your calories slightly and cut out the crap except for maybe…

Ah yes that will do it! I'd try and get the exercise done first thing in the morning. a) it will be cooler that time of day,and b) gets it out of the way and you can feel smug for the rest of the day! Enjoy! :0)

p.s. I have no tips on motivation whilst on holiday - I would just end up swigging cocktails all week and completely ruining my diet whilst I was away, so well done to you for wanting to!

that happened to me exactly but it was just before my period and then I lost it again straight afterwards

I have never lost weight successfully unless I had something major to aim for. Last time it was my wedding, and this time, its for medical reasons. Perhaps think of something in a few months that would be MUCH better if you had lost some weight. Then try and keep focused on that date. When that date comes, think of another…

Hello, I too have only just recently started to run. Advice would be to start slowly and lap time yourself - do 1 minute of running, 3 minutes of walking, and then slowly build it up - I can run for about 20 minutes now and am aiming to do a 5k by the summer at least. Good luck!

I'm sure everyone will tell you have to do it like the box says, but I've just done it occasionally amongst other stuff I'm doing. I get bored easily with exercise so I find it best to do it that way to mix it up a bit.

I did that this week too. I had two cupcakes and a muffin! Felt really bad and just felt like giving up. But then I made myself think about how I would feel if I DID give up. That helped me. I'm now back on track (ish!) It is hard on those days xx

Hello! I started on 17th January too! I'm loving MFP too, its really keeping me on track and focused.

Put the tin of salmon in a dish, add a can of pinto beans, some cherry tomatoes and 1/2 an avocado. Delish!

errrr don't know why that many appeared!

Yes I agree; I don't get it either. At the moment, I only eat my exercise calories if I'm really REALLY hungry!

@Lydbell - agreed! Nutmeg is nice too if you throw that in with that recipe.

Well first of all, you've got a while yet so no need to panic - stick rigidly to the calorie counting and the exercise and you will get there. What I did the couple of weeks before my wedding was cut out bread/potatoes/rice etc. It got off the last few stubborn pounds! Good luck! xxxx

I had one and it did nothing for me

I had that problem. I picked a dress in the size I was then, knowing it would be easier to take in, than let out! Plus I picked a dress that had lacing up the back, that way, I could lace myself in as tight or as loose as I wanted to. It worked well, I was a size smaller and just laced myself in tighter. They also made…

I'm 5ft too - starting weight was 163, my first goal is 140
-
Add me too if you like I haven't got many friends on MFP either :)

That does sound rough, maybe it will all come off in one go? Sometimes I don't see results for ages, and then suddenly it happens. Keep with it. At the very least, you're feeling in control and good about yourself. If you give up, it will only make you miserable. Hugs xx
-
I weigh myself every day but I only log it if its less than the previous weight I've recorded on MFP! Might sound mental but it keeps me on track and feeling positive! :)

Oooo I'd be interested in this too. I'm trying to lose 21 pounds by April

I'm a Brummie too, now living by the sea in Sussex
