  • I am having my thyroid removed later this summer and I am really concerned how this will affect losing weight. My thyroid levels are normal but I'm tired and hungry all the time!!!
  • I'm the same way. I have no pants that fit and I can't tell you the last time I put a pair of shorts on. Having surgery in 6 weeks and I want to drop 10 lbs before then. Hopefully this short term goal will kickstart me. It's gonna take a lot of work but we can do this! Thanks for introducing yourself!
  • Thanks HappyCampr1. My job is sedentary so Im sure you're right. Gonna start walking the dog more:)
  • Awesome losses guys! That gives me hope for sure:) Guess I just need to step up my game.
  • I know what you mean Mimi! I've been working at it since February and I'm not seeing the scale move much. But I am determined!!!! I turn 40 in a few months so that is a lot of incentive for me:)
  • Thanks for all the comments guys! What type of exercises are y'all doing? I've been focusing on strength/circuit training but maybe I need to mix it up a bit .

  • I'd love to join. My first challenge so count me in!!!! Need the extra motivation to reach my birthday (Sept 3rd) goal.
  • Great topic...saving these ideas for later. Looks like fitness blender and blogilates are really popular. Will give them a try:)
  • I've had several in the past year: 1. Realizing that I haven't been in any family pictures since my children were born 4 years ago because I hated the way I looked. 2. My gastro doctor told me that I would always have acid reflux and I was determined to prove him wrong. 3. Realizing that my weight was preventing me from…
  • Thanks! Will definitely give it a try and let you know how it turns out.
  • Thanks. After my post, of course I discovered all these posts about eating your exercise calories. Serves me right for not looking a bit more. I'm going to eat my exercise cal and hopefully that will help break my plateau. My diet is pretty low carb but I definitely need to eat more lean protein and less fat. I do weight…
  • Thanks so much for your help. You're right about the calories...I have only been consuming 1200 cal. regardless of how many cal I burn through exercise. Though it seems counter-intuitive to eat more to lose weight, I'm going to give it a try. After a month at the same weight, I'm need to do something. I'll let you know how…
